Description
Sparks fly between a famous YouTuber and a former Army Ranger in this delightful enemies-to-lovers romance from the USA Today bestselling queen of small-town love stories.
Welcome to Highland Falls, a small town where love is always in the air.
In just a few months Abby Everhart has gone from being a top influencer to an unemployed divorcée living out of her car. So inheriting her great-aunt's homestead comes at the perfect time. Abby heads to Highland Falls, North Carolina, to spruce up Honeysuckle Farm before putting it on the market for some much-needed cash. But instead of finding a charming getaway, she discovers a serious fixer-upper, complete with a leaky roof, overgrown yard, and a reclusive -- albeit sexy -- man living on the property.
Ex-Delta Force soldier Hunter MacKenzie has faced war and loss, but nothing has quite prepared him for an outgoing redhead who's determined to turn his life upside down. Hunter doesn't want to get involved with anyone, especially a city girl who plans to sell the only place he's ever felt at home. But the sparks between them are undeniable. Spending time with Abby is easy. Convincing her to stay for good is another matter entirely.

This is the first book I’ve read from this author, and it won’t be my last. I devoured it in one night. I just loved Abby, she was exhausting at times, she talked so much, was a bit clumsy, but had a kind heart, just maybe went about things the wrong way. Hunter was a perfect match for her, quiet, brooding and honest. The secondary characters were brilliant, and I definitely want to read more about them! A perfect feel good story to curl up too. Ms Mason, you have a new fan
Heartwarming and enchanting! This new series by Debbie Mason is filled with entertaining characters, a delightful small town, a Scottish Betty White look-alike who has the gift of second sight, as well as the Highland Hotties in kilts! I have loved Debbie Mason’s previous small town series and this one promises to be just as captivating and touching. I couldn’t put it down!
Another great book by Debbie Mason. This book has great characters and a wonderful story line. From the beginning of the book to the very end you will have a lot of mixed emotions.
I think I laughed and almost cried a lot while reading it. Abby has been through a lot in her lifetime so far, her ex-husband Chandler divorced her for his attorney and then sued Abby so that she had nothing. She lived in her car with her little yorkie named Bella. Then her ex's housekeeper told her that she had inherited her Aunt Liz's house in Highland Falls. So Abby takes off to see about the house with the intention of selling it.
When she gets there she finds the house is rundown and in need of a lot of repairs that she can't afford to do. Then she finds out that all she owns is the house and the land in front and behind it. Hunter owns the rest.
Abby is quite the talker and Hunter is the silent type. But Abbey works her magic on him and brings him back into town and around his family.
An awesome story that will have you sitting on the edge of your chair wondering what she is going to do next
I always look forward to a book by Debbie Mason. First of all, all of the covers of her books are absolutely beautiful! It makes you imagine what it would be like to live in that place.
Her books always give you an escape from reality. Whenever I finish one of Debbie's books, I can't wait to read the next one!
With each book she writes, Debbie Mason further cements her place on my author auto-buy list. I enjoyed her Christmas, Colorado series and fell in love with her Harmony Harbor characters and their journeys to love. I was so sad to see Harmony Harbor end and skeptical that Mason could create new characters I would love as much as the Gallaghers and DiRossis but, you know what? I just finished reading an ARC of Summer on Honeysuckle Ridge, the (May 26) book that will launch her new Highland Falls series, and she's done it again. Abby just may be my favorite Mason heroine ever. She's so much more than what she initially appears. Learning what she has overcome made me like and admire her even more and discovering the full story of how her dog, Bella came to live with her made her someone I'd want to be best friends with for life. I loved watching her evolution throughout the book. I'm a total pushover for a brooding alpha hero with a gentle side and a tortured soul. Hunter checked all my boxes...and Abby's too. They're so good together and I cannot wait to see more of them (hopefully) as the series continues.
I'm already invested in this small mountain town and the people who live there. I can't wait to find out what Mason has in store for them and the town of Highland Falls.
If you enjoy multi-layered characters, humor, emotional twists and turns, and heart-tugging romance that will leave you eager for more, I enthusiastically recommend a visit to Highland Falls, North Carolina and Summer on Honeysuckle Ridge.

We are in the middle of a really strange moment in time where we are all kind of stuck in limbo at home until further notice. It's a scary and weird time, but I am trying to make the best of it by catching up on a ton of reading! I think that right now is the absolute perfect time to read a lighthearded(ish) romance novel and I found the perfect book for that in Summer on Honeysuckle Ridge. This is the beginning of a series which made me want to read it anymore because I love these small town series where everyone knows everyone and we can watch several beautiful stories unfold. I will be honest that it took some time for me to not think Hunter was a jerk, but his backstory will definitely explain why he is so closed off from the world. I love Abby! She is the perfect character to get invested in and I love her bubbly and talkative and affectionate personality. This book is equal parts funny and serious, and the romance scenes are pg so it's a good read for someone who loves love stories but doesn't like passionate scenes to go overboard on the details. I absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for a lighthearted and easy read or who likes romance novels.
Summer on honeysuckle ridge by Debbie Mason
Well once I started this book I did not put it down. I read it in one sitting. I thought it was a perfect read and one I will highly recommend. I loved it.
I have not read any of Masons previous works but most certainly will now.
Many thanks to both the author and netgalley for allowing me the opportunity to read this book.
This book has a very similar plot to almost every Hallmark movie I've ever watched, so if you like Hallmark movies, you'll love this book. Abby, who is down on her luck, leaves her big city life (that was falling apart) and moves to a small town after inheriting a rundown house from a deceased relative. When she arrives, she quickly meets, and begins to argue with a man named Hunter who is a veteran who likes to keep to himself. Actually, he does more than just keep to himself, he's a hermit, determined to give up on life. Abby breathes life into his lonely existence, while annoying him a lot along the way. I loved the interactions between Abby and Hunter. There were quite a few moments that were hilarious. And there was a side story with Abby trying to reignite her YouTube career, while also help a new friend with her business and I found that part of the book interesting as well. I always like a romance novel that features a heroine who forms solid relationships with people outside of their romantic relationship. This was a solid, enjoyable, if slightly predictable book.
