I love all the books about Lola! We have a few at my library. I've used them many times for storytimes with children. I also love the illustrations! They're bright and colorful and grab the children's attention.
Like the others, I loved this one! I'll be adding it to our library!

Super cute children's book about going to the library. It is very very short and found myself wanting more content about why it is fun going to the library, but I appreciated the simplicity as well. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review.

Lola goes to the library on Tuesdays with her mom. She has fun with everything at the library and shows the reader everything that she does - returning books, choosing more books, and attending storytime. This is a cute book where kids can relate to Lola and mirror her actions in their own lives.

This is another hit from the Lola team! I am a children's librarian who presents storytime to toddlers on a regular basis and I also turn to the Lola books. This is a simple, fine book about a trip to the library. It is simple enough that most kids will be able to relate. It also leaves room for talking about the child's experiences with the library and books. The illustrations are in the same style as the other books, which I like because they are colorful yet gentle. I look forward to reading this at storytime in the future.

This sweet book is a celebration of the love of reading! Lola and her mommy go every Tuesday to the library together. She remembers to pack last week's books in her backpack to take back and of course she needs her library card. She goes to the children's section and picks out new books to share with mommy at bedtime. Both she and her mom love to read her books together before she sleeps.

This charming board book highlights the happiness of reading and encourages the use of the local library. I whole-heartedly recommend it.

I received an electronic ARC from Charlesbridge through NetGalley.
Lola is one of my favorite characters and I'm delighted to see the board books for younger readers. Lola and her mom visit the library every week and share special time reading together each day. Simple to follow text and colorful illustrations pull toddlers and preschoolers into the story. The message about reading and using our libraries is always timely.

What an adorable book! We follow a mommy and her little girl on their weekly trip to the library. The illustrations fit the story perfectly. Very simple story that even the littlest library patron will understand.
I received a free book from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

We read this book after reading Lola Loves Stories With Daddy, and my granddaughter liked it almost as much. It is Tuesday, so Lola and her mom go to the library. She has to bring back the book she borrowed last week (that took some explaining that she couldn't keep it), choose a new one and participate in storytime. We talked about school in September and that she would have storytime in her classroom and at the library as she has only had to listen alone or with her brother. Then at home, mommy reads Lola a bedtime story. This is another book to share the love of reading, and the importance of reading as a family to share the love of reading. She liked that mommy reads bedtime stories too, because her mommy sometimes reads to her, usually it is daddy. The pictures were again a delight that had us talking and sharing stories.

I love the Lola series! In this book, Lola and her mom make an everyday experience look like a grand adventure. The story shows the routine that Lola and mommy follow as they make their weekly trip to the library. There's a lot to love about this book - it's a great representation of a modern Black family, it's brightly illustrated, and most of the pictures are drawn from Lola's perspective, seeing what's at her eye level. Parents and teachers could use this as a mentor text to teach sequence of events and ask children to write the steps to one of their favorite activities.

There is another book published before this lacking the word mommy. The story is different than the first one.
Loving reading the first one in story time and know I will be reading this one also to the group. It is a short and simple story to read to toddlers.

Another adorable story all about Lola! Anna McQuinn's children's books are always on my classroom and personal shelves. Well written, fantastic artwork, and thought provoking stories for little ones. I especially love Lola at the Library with Mommy since I'm a big fan of reading, but all Anna's books are fantastic!

Another fun Lola book! On Tuesdays, Lola goes to the library with Mommy. She takes back the books she got last week, listens to storytime, and picks out new books for the week ahead, for when Mommy reads to her at bedtime. A big part of the fun is the walk to and from the library, where Lola gets to see lots of interesting sites and meet new people- and a dog! Meeting dogs is the best! It's lovely to see Lola enjoying her trip to the library, and seeing that love of books and reading sparked in a child's heart. The illustrations are soft and friendly, really sweet, with lots of details for little ones to find, and fit so well with the story.
