The cover matches the book. Romantic. Contains a little twist and a little suspense. It is well written. Good book for a rainy night or a weekend. New author for me and I do like her writing and creativity.
An enjoyable book to read. This was a story that was exciting, tense at times and had a happy ending. There was a good storyline, interesting characters and kept me interested. I would recommend the book to be read.
I received a free copy of Captain of My Heart in exchange for an honest review. This was my first time reading a book by Karla Kratovil, and I was pleasantly surprised. She did a great job with plot and character development without being over ding the drama. It was always about Jack and Vivian. Even the dramatic scenes were well introduced and quickly resolved. It was a great pace, and I absolutely adored Jack, and his in wavering feelings for Vivian. She was certainly a handful, but Jack was just what she needed.
Overall, this was a quick and easy read that I would recommend to friends and family. I am looking forward to reading more from Ms. Kratovil.
Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a decent pirate romance. Vivian is the daughter of a pirate who sends her away in order to keep her safe from an old enemy. Her father entrusts her to Jack who is immediately attracted to her and fights his feelings. They both embark on a journey to England where Jack falls more in love with her bravery and beauty. They meet the obstacles ahead together.
Overall, it was nothing remarkable but a sweet, easy read.
I received a free copy from netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book. Vivian has grown up with an unconventional life with her pirate of a father. Now she is being sent to England to stay with her aunts and find a husband befitting the granddaughter of an earl. Her father has chosen Jack to escort her. I love that the characters actually had a chance to know each other and while their was an immediate attraction it wasn't insta-love. Vivian was a fun character brace and bold and not willing to let any man or woman get away with being a sucky excuse for a human being. Jack was sweet and I loved how he feel so hard for vivian. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
Captain of my heart by Karla Kratovil was about a sea captain and a pirates daughter. Jack the sea captain is asked to take Vivian the pirates daughter to England for her to marry and also be safe from her dads enemy. It was a great beginning I loved the journey to England but when we get to London it was a bit slow for me but then it picked up about 70 percent in the book. I wasn’t able to put it down from that point on. In fact it was a 3:00 in the morning read. I got no sleep. 😂. The characters were really solid and well developed. There was suspense, action, and romance. I ended up loving this book.
I enjoyed this historical romance story with all of the characters. The two main characters were Vivian Jamieson and Jack Aston.
Vivian Jamison is the daughter of a pirate. When her father old enemies get out of prison he decides to send her to England to stay with her aunts. She is not happy to leave her father or her home.
Jack Aston is the second son and now a sea captain of a ship. When Pirate Jamison ask him to take his daughter to England. He agree to this because they save his life. But after meet his daughter he not sure that this was a good idea.
This was a fun story to read. It as action, adventure, and suspense. It also has a few laughs throughout it to.
I received a complimentary copy via Netgalley. This is my honest unbiased opinions.
