Several people witness her very public altercation with her ex-friend. To make matters worse, Tori exacts her revenge by posting a fake photo of Emory in a compromising situation, which goes viral on social media. When Tori is found murdered, all signs point to Emory being the prime suspect.

This book was a great read a breath of fresh air! I didn't imagine it to be this captivating right from the start, and how I really enjoyed reading it. Kim Davis has a wonderful way of writing this book, how she ties the suspense into this mystery story. The author did write a wonderful book with the ingredients she had at hand and the result was truly great.
This book was impossible to put down and I finished it in less than a day. The main character ends up in a lot of trouble and people around her don't seem to be who she thinks they are. Emory is in a lot of trouble and from that moment on several events take place and most of them not good. Living a life that could shatter at any moment. How she ends-up losing everything, trying to clear her name and reputation, how others are doing the best to frame her to a crime she hadn't committed. The story takes many turns and suspicions lie in several places. This book has all to please the reader, mystery, crime and the hope of new beginnings and how to re-bounce in the least expected way when it looks dull.
Emory is head steady and wants at all means help in the investigations even if it could cost her more than she would be prepared for. The author has weaved in the pleasure of baking cupcakes and cakes.
It is the first time I have read a book by Kim Davis but, definitely not the last one. I would definitely recommend this book! I can hardly wait for it to be published in paper and would love to get it for my personal library.
Thanks to the author and publisher allowing me to read this book and to write this review.
" Life is truly about friends and family" as quoted in the end of the story!
Best wishes from Charlotte Nilsson
This is an outstanding first book in a new series.
Lies, betrayal, secrets, blackmail and murder!
Emory certainly has her hands full as her life is turned upside down.
This book has all the qualities of a top notch cozy mystery.
The characters were entertaining and the whodunit was well written and certainly kept me guessing.
I highly recommend this book and cannot wait to read the next one!
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Emory Martinez can’t seem to catch a break. Her husband cheats with her best friend and then she is the number one suspect of killing her best friend.
Betrayal, murder and suspense throughout. Characters are well developed and the story flows nicely. Emory is relatable, funny and a tough lady.
This is a great start to a fun series. It stumped me until the end. I am looking forward to more adventures with Emory.
Try crossing a murder fiction (where the prime suspect is acting as investigator trying to clear her increasingly lengthy list of charges) with a romantic fiction about a would-be cupcake caterer and you have Sprinkles of Suspicion! A quirky, light and surprisingly entertaining read.

Thank you netgalley and the publisher for the ebook copy in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed reading this book so much. It's a cozy mystery or a culinary cozy mystery because of the frequent mention of baking, cakes, cooking and cupcakes. Not to mention the great recipes for you to try at home at the end of the book.
It really had me guessing until the end as i tried to guess who the murderer was. This book is as entertaining as it is delicious. I highly recommend this book. I recommend this book to anyone who: likes cozy mysteries, culinary cozy mysteries, or just likes a good mystery that keeps you guessing.
