Looking for a short sweet read? Spooky Tutti Frutti will satisfy your craving.
Celia Rossi is struggling to keep her new-to-her ice cream parlor open. The busy time of year is here and one of her employees goes on medical leave. Celia is also searching for the perfect addition to the frozen treats she currently serves.
Before she knows it her help-wanted sign draws in a mysterious applicant. Enter Suzy Conroy. The young woman knows about ice cream and even has a recipe for Tutti Frutti.
Together, Celia, with boyfriend Blair O'Neil, solves the mystery.
I loved the setting of the 50’s Ice cream parlor. The characters are fun and the story moves along at a brisk pace.
If you're looking for a short story, I highly recommended Spooky Tutti Frutti.

I received this ARC via Netgalley and The Wild Rose Press, Inc, in return for an honest review. This is a lovely short story about Celia Ross’ 1950s ice cream parlor in historic Annapolis, Maryland. One of Celia’s three part-timers is out on maternity leave, right before the major regatta weekend. Posting a help wanted sign, Celia focuses on creating a unique ice cream flavor to sell and bring in the needed customers to keep her new business running. Suzie Conroy appears and suggests adding a tutti-frutti ice cream, based off a family recipe. Hiring Suzie becomes a mixed blessing as she seems to come and go with almost magical ease. Working together to perfect the ice cream in the week preceding the regatta, Celia founds out that Suzie brings heart, dedication and a touch of magic to the ice cream business.

Haven't read a spooky story in years, and wanting to try something new, I picked up this light, fun read, part of a series I've been enjoying this summer.

The idea that a character who died in a boating accident in the fifties can't rest until her spirit serves a little Tutti Frutti, up to her (dead) husband is fetching. And swell. Those are both fifties slang, I'm gosh darn sure of that.

You'll flip your lid over this short tale of disappearing Suzie, who misplaces her favorite ice cream recipe, and Celia, the employer who helps her out of her spirit funk. And gets to keep the recipe.

I received a copy of this book from Net Galley and have written an honest review.
