Stanalei Fletcher is now one of my favorite new authors because of Into Something Good. It was a sweet, innocent romance between two childhood friends. Cayme moved back to her hometown to come to peace with her mom’s death. She soon reconnected with Rick when he saved her from falling off the roof. When her ex-fiancé came into her store, flaunting his new girlfriend, Rick jumped to the rescue again, announcing that he and Cayme were engaged. They had to live out this lie, but it soon became a reality. The only thing that bothered me was it was reiterated that Cayme didn’t really know Rick. But, since they had been close friends from their childhoods through high school, it would make sense that they knew each other better than the author made them seem. Overall, it was an engaging Summer read.
Into Something Good is an entertaining and well written romance. A good plot with good character dynamics. I highly recommend. I received a complimentary ebook from the publisher and Netgalley and this is my unbiased review.
