Description
“Louis’s books just plain make life better." —Greg Behrendt, author of the New York Times #1 bestseller He’s Just Not That Into You
Self-published poet and painter Louis Cannizzaro invites you into a universe of playful and haunting poetry with There Once Was a Girl Who Created a World, his most enchanting collection to date. Using his famous and immediately recognizable art and resonant poetry, Cannizzaro paints a world that is sometimes whimsical and sometimes poignant, often set in a city, under the stars, or the bright afternoon sun.

Featured Reviews
Louis Cannizzaro created a beautiful world where visual art meets poetry. This felt like my old journals as a kid; like rainy contemplative days when we feel improbable.
The book had quotes that I kept in my heart such as:
"Shadows all around us
but never between us"
and
"Sometimes she writes things because she likes the way they look"
Words become art, and the sorrounding art forms grants its own atmosphere to this book.
I would love to own a physical copy of this. It is gorgeous.
I received this book as an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Short poems, mixing simple drawings and some abstract ones that represent what is written.
I loved the concept of collages, paintings, drawings, it's a book art.
Louis Cannizzaro has written a magical book that makes you feel all nice and warm inside. It is short and sweet and is simply pleasing to look at. The images and writing go beautifully together, thus creating a world to be immersed in. A refreshing read.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.
