Expect the unexpected when dealing with the devil.

Denida and Nina grieve their son’s murder differently. She lashes out, while he seeks to change the past. An insatiable need to right the injustice drives Denida to consider Lucifer’s offer to keep the Darkness from targeting anybody else he loves. Armed with only a powerful ring and Holy daggers capable of killing gods, Denida vows to break into Heaven to rescue Lucifer’s son and lost love. Denida’s task gets complicated by demons who don’t want him to succeed, as well as the pervasive Darkness assailing multiple worlds. 

Meanwhile, Nina’s quest for vengeance leads her into danger.
