Description
—Publishers Weekly
You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll be swept away—in less time than it takes to read this paragraph. Here are 175 true stories—honest, funny, tender and wise—each as moving as a lyric poem, all told in no more than one hundred words. An electrician lights up a woman’s life, a sister longs for her homeless brother, strangers dream of what might have been. Love lost, found and reclaimed. Love that’s romantic, familial, platonic and unexpected. Most of all, these stories celebrate love as it exists in real life: a silly remark that leads to a lifetime together, a father who struggles to remember his son, ordinary moments that burn bright.

I'D GIVE THIS 6 STARS IF I COULD! An incredible collection of love stories of all types (romantic, familial, friendship, loss) that is impeccably diverse and impressively timely. While some submissions are written like a tweet and others approach the perfectly poetic, each masterfully exposes a raw, relatable emotion in so few words. In 2020, Tiny Love Stories serves to reunite us with a reminder that we are not so different from one another.
Thank you to NetGalley, Artisan Books, and Daniel Jones & Miya Lee for the ARC!
This was a quick read with short love stories that encompass a range of relationships, from married, to parenting, to caring for parents, to friendship, and even learning to love yourself. While the stories are quickly read, some are truly thought-provoking and deep. Some made me smile, some made me laugh, and some made me want to cry. This is a terrific book for reading in short segments of time, though one could fly through it in an hour or so if they want to. Even then, though, it would be easy to pick up and reread a favorite love story when the urge hit. Lovely book!
This book is an enjoyable and endearing collection of all the little ways that we experience love stories in the course of our lives. No matter where you are in life or love, you'll find a story in this book that will speak to your soul. It's one of those collections that reminds us that when it comes down to it, we're all the same in the ways that matter most.
