Description

There is without a doubt a fatherless pandemic happening in America. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 19.7 million children, more than 1 in 4, live without a father in the home. Research shows that when a child is raised in a father-absent home, he or she is at a greater risk of poverty, are more likely to have behavioral problems, abuse drugs and alcohol, or commit a crime, and twice as likely to drop out of school. And, men with absent fathers are more likely to become absent fathers themselves, so often they repeat the broken patterns their dads gave them without noticing, until many years have passed. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

In How to Become the Husband and Father Your Family Needs, award-winning author and executive director of The Blessing of The Father Ministries, Pastor Ed Tandy McGlasson provides a deeply personal, practical and biblical approach and lays out a game plan to help any man, regardless of the mistakes they've made, become the husband and father God has created them to be. With personal insights, Ed’s story is relatable, heart-warming and at times heart-breaking, but filled with hope. For men who want to be better fathers, new fathers, and anyone who has relationship problems, this book will answer key questions such as:

-How to become the husband your wife has always dreamed of?

-How to build a better relationship with your children?

-How to unlock the power of forgiveness in your family?

-How to be set free from the bitterness of past hurts?

-How to begin healing the hurt with my wife and children?

-How to reconnect with lost kids?

-How to stop repeating the same mistakes your father made?

-How to discover and fulfill who God has made you to be?

-How to help your children discover their God-given destiny?

“There are few jobs more important than being a father, but so many dads feel unequipped and a bit overwhelmed by the responsibility,” McGlasson shares. “I’ve met countless dads who would give anything to reconnect with their sons and daughters, to hit the reset button on fathering. My book highlights the key behaviors needed to heal past wounds and repair broken relationships. When a man learns to be Fathered by God, the same way Jesus was, he understands who God has made him to be and how he can become the man, husband, and father his family deserves. It doesn't matter where you've been or what you've done, it is never too late for you to become the person your family needs.”
