Description
What happens when your mind becomes your worst enemy?
Convinced that she will live her best life in college, Reign decides to pack up and leave her small Michigan town for Illinois. Upon freshman year, Reign quickly learns that not everything that glitters is gold. The fight of her life begins now.
About the series: The topic of mental health is often taboo in the black community. Often harboring distrust in the medical community, African Americans are less likely to seek help for mental health struggles. The Reign Series was created to help normalize the act of asking for mental health help. Reigny Days was penned by author Brittany Baker when she was a junior at Purdue University. The books were written as short, yet powerful reads for college students and readers on the go. The series follows a young black woman with anxiety and major depressive disorder. With the exploration of themes such as mental health, family dynamics, toxic relationships, suicide, consent, etc., this series contains mature content.

"I'm speechless. This book had me sitting straight up from the beginning. This book hit home. When I was in elementary school. A classmate expressed about her unhappiness and the next day the school told us she had committed suicide. Im still shock by it. I felt so many emotions when Reign was dealing with depression and the complications of wanting love from all the wrong me. It's sad that tragedy has to happen before a parent can open up and have heart to heart with her daughter. Parents really need to be careful of what they say. The ending just blew my natural curly hair straight. What a great book about family life, college, depression, suicide, friendship and trust. I recommend this book for my next book club read. "

"Omg!! I was speechless reading this book. Seriously, as I was reading I kept thinking, “who told this author about my life??” It hit so close to home. As someone that was diagnosed with Major Depression in college, seeing a therapist in college and meds saved my life literally. In college, it, “should” be the best time of your life and where the most memories are made but it is TOUGH and a huge adjustment for so many students. I absolutely loved this book. My heart breaks for Lili, she suffered in silence and committed suicide. I also had tears when I read the part where Reign and her mother had a coming to Jesus talk.. this book was so good and so necessary!!"
