Description

What happened eight years ago on that fatal night was to be buried, along with Greg, and never to be spoken of again. But when seven-year-old Charlotte relays a message from beyond the grave, her father, Derek, is shaken. Struggling to keep that night hidden, Derek struggles when loose ends return, along with an inquiring detective in search of the truth.

As the past unfolds, the small town of East Millinocket is soon terrorized by a string of murders, leaving victims coated in a vile substance. A Note From the Publisher

Originally from Connecticut, Susan moved to California with her mother and brother when she was five. In the sixth-grade, an arts and crafts teacher led the class project of writing and illustrating storybooks to read to the Kindergarteners. She fell in love with the writing process and still has that storybook into her collection.

In high school and college, she excelled in reading, creative writing, novel courses and wrote
her first young adult novel (Toby Tales book one) at the age of 21. Soon after, 2 children and a career of working with kids and teaching Pre-School followed, only to have her hobby placed on hold. 20 years later, she re-opened her box of projects and quickly had her favorite children's story "The Spider With So Many Shoes," illustrated and published, followed by many others. When her children's books line had wrapped up, she branched out into thrillers, and is excited to continue in her newfound genre.

At her daytime job, Susan is a part-time hairstylist in Wine Country, California, and spends her free time with her pets, her son, traveling, and writing new projects.
