Description

Pregnant and licking her wounds from a messy divorce, Kyli Ryder returns home for the summer to work at her dad's Cape Cod ice cream shop. The small town is a familiar haven as she wraps her brain around a sudden future as a single mom.

From the minute Kyli and Devon Daughtry laid eyes on each other—as she sat on the floor in a puddle of dishwasher water—there was an unexpected spark. Their friendly flirting and teasing over his daily vanilla waffle cone becomes a salted caramel seduction metaphor for Devon's growing attraction.

Hooked by the undeniable connection between them—one which Kyli refuses to admit, and Devon refuses to ignore—she's a package deal he's intent on having in his life. Can Devon sweet talk his way into her heart, ultimately proving it's okay to love again?

Sweet, clean romance. Kyli's marriage is in trouble. Her husband suggests that they try and start a family. After she's pregnant she finds out that her husband is having an affair. She leaves him and moves back to her hometown. There working in fathers ice cream shop she meets Dev who likes vanilla ice cream.

1. I do not do spoilers unless warned.
2. Read the summary above; it will tell you what the book is about. I will not reiterate.
3. Even though this is a shorter book, the Characters are well developed and likeable. No loose ends.
4. Plot is a bit different but in no way takes away from the story. In fact, I loved that there really wasn’t a big, drawn out conflict for the characters.
5. No errors that I caught as far as editing.
6. It’s an enjoyable mostly ‘clean’ but still sexy romance. Nothing very graphic but admit it, sometimes, things are better left to the imagination. this is one of those times. I classify this as bubblegum for the brain: Keeps you occupied for a time and leaves you with a nice taste in your mouth. I'd read more from this author

Does love conquer all?

Here we go. First let me say this was a first introduction to this author. I really enjoyed this book however it does lack depth through the entire story. It has great characters with amazing values but it’s more brushed over than built on. It kept me interested throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. With that said it could have been so much more. If your looking for a fast quick romance book this is for you.

This is a clean romance that was enjoyable in a lot of ways. However, there wasn't as much depth to the story as I would have liked. And I was a little surprised by how much profanity there was in a book that is supposed to be a clean romance. Overall, through, the book was good.

This story was very cute. I loved how dedicated Mr. Boring A** Vanilla is to his Ms. Salted Caramel. Although she thought her life was over after finding out she was not only pregnant, but her husband was filing for a divorce in the works, Devon, AKA Vanilla, taught her that she deserves to find her own happiness too.

Good book! Lovely quick story with a happy ending. I really enjoyed it. Loveable characters. The plot was a little rushed in places but I wasn't expecting a masterpiece. Perfect palet clenser and I did really enjoy the lightheardness.

This is my first book by Amy's Sharpe but it will no be my last. The main character is pregnant and going through a divorce. She returns to her home town and works in her Dad's ice cream shop in Cape Cod. She is setting on the floor in a pool of water when Devon comes in for a plain vanella in a waffle cone. Then he makes that his daily great just to see Kyli. Kylie is a salted caramel girl, and they start teasing and flirting over icecream. As Devon gets to know her better be falls hard. He knows she is a package deal but that is okay with him.Does she let him into her life ? Does she care take a chance ? Read This great book and see if love can be happily ever after for these two.. Thank you Net Galley for allowing me to read and review this book.

An entertaining and well written second chance romance. I highly recommend this book. I received an advance ebook from the publisher and this is my unbiased review.

It seems a bit of a cliche to call this novel sweet, but there's no word more suitable.

Kyli's marriage collapsed right around the time she discovered she was pregnant. Abandoned by her so called friends, she retreats back home to work in her dad's shop, making toasted sandwiches and scooping ice cream. Sparks fly with the hot mechanic across the road, she has a baby on the way. Devon can't possibly want her, can he?

If you're looking for a light and fluffy short romance, this is a good choice. I especially enjoyed the resolution with the ex (given he's the baby daddy). My one quibble is that while there are no sex scenes, there's more lust than UST and it is perhaps a bit more graphic than suitable for a 'sweet' romance. This almost falls in the middle between sweet and steamy; it wouldn't take more than a quick edit to push it firmly over to 'sweet'.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley, all opinions are my own.

This was a short but sweet romance by a new-to-me author. It was a quick and easy read but still entertaining. The main characters were charming, and it was great to see their friendship grow into love. Their witty banter provided plenty of amusement.

I loved Kyli and Devon's story. I loved the vanilla vs. salted caramel comparison and I loved that Devon was so protective of Kyli and Ivy and I loved that it didn't matter that she was caring another man's child. I loved that there is a happy ending and that Kyli makes peace with her ex. I loved almost everything about this story. . . except for the language. Unfortunately, I feel like the foul language cheapened the story.

I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
