Description
School principal Gage Clayton is still grieving the death of his wife and submissive, yet he can't ignore his Dominant needs. As he enters Club Kink, he's inexplicably drawn to a newly released sub with an intriguing proposition and the most captivating amber eyes. But she has disturbing baggage and her expectations prove quite a challenge, one that would necessitate a commitment he's not ready for.
Rielle Reid needs a Dom while she waits for her former Master to return. When she invites a handsome stranger to her home dungeon for a night of play, she's surprised at his gentle dominance—and her response to it. But in the light of day, his demand for equal footing confounds her. After living four years as a twenty-four/seven slave, she has no concept of how to be anything other than property.
Gage must find a way to master Rielle to free them both from the shackles of the past.

As you can see, Rambo's eyes match the theme of this book so he wanted to be apart of it!
**Okay y'all, so first, trigger warning for: Abuse in all forms and rape**
This book literally had so many ups and downs and it took me on an emotional rollercoaster today! I fell in love with Cage and the way he was so patient and took care of Rielle. And duh,, the steamy scenes were 🔥 I LOVED them. And I'm so happy with the ending!
I love that this book showed what the process is like for someone that has been through something so traumatic and needing the time to heal and make it through. I think Gabbi did an amazing job writing that because it's something that is so common today unfortunately and even though this book focuses on romance, I think it could really help someone understand that things will be okay and time is everything ♡
I would definitely recommend reading this book. It has real life issues, love, steamy scenes and it's just all around a great read! ☆☆☆☆ out of 5 stars! - @_readingwithme via Instagram.
4.5 stars.
This was f**king intense!
TW: all kinds of abuse.
This is a BDSM relationship wear the sub was a 24/7 slave for 4 years before meeting our hero.
She's a 33 yr old woman who's never had an orgasm, and believes wholeheartedly that she can't have them. She's been damaged on many levels over her lifetime and she's a very sympathetic character to follow, care and root for.
Our hero is so amazingly caring for everyone but especially towards our heroine. I loved how intense/caring this relationship was, I do wish it had been a tiny more slow burn, but for all I know that might have ruined the pacing/angst levels, and I was absolutely pulled into this story and to anxious to put it down as it was.
A bdsm, over powering slave relationship that ends in violence and abuse. A widower in the same bdsm lifestyle whose still grieving. They meet and each help each other recover and grow.
Their instant attraction and life's circumstances means they face their demons. With a happy ever after ending in this romantic story of love, commitment and happiness.
Loved this book! Gage and Rielle are both attending the same BDSM club one night, for the first time in years for both of them. Each of them mourning the loss of someone for very different reasons. They go home together that night, not sure what they want out of the other.
They have lived different lifestyles of the BDSM world, he is as a dom, she as a slave.
They go through a whirlwind of ups and downs the plot is great and not stagnant.
I love how it is written, and I love the scenes.
Thank you to the Publisher and NetGalley for a free advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This was the perfect book for the mood I was in. It was enticing, enthralling, erotic and all the other "e" words you can think of. The writing was incredible. Story was simply perfect. This is my first time reading this author and I loved it.
Thank you Netgalley for the copy of this great book!
I found this book to be much more than your average BDSM book, here you have two lost hurt souls, people trying to find themselves again. The farther along into the story you wonder if they will ever succeed in that endeavor.
The book opens with Gage who is a widow going to a club for the first time in years since his wife has passed. He is a dom and his wife was a submissive, occasionally they would switch roles but overall, he is a husband who misses his wife who was killed.
Rielle has come to the club dressed to the nine but when their eyes meet there is a connection, after talking for a short period they go back to her place where he soon finds out that she was a slave and then one day her master came and took her collar away, left and she has been lost ever since.
Once a bright shining star which Gage slowly sees he works at brining that out wanting to be with her but not as a master. This confuses her and the times they do disagree only adds to the story.
The writer takes you on a journey with these two characters and I found myself wanting to find out if they stay together? can she leave her apartment for longer times and different places? Will each of them trust again especially Rielle? A book that is more than sex but a story and definitely worth the read.
Loved this book! I loved how the characters evolved and learned how to live their best lives together. How they both had baggage to deal with and how they faced it. The story is well written and brilliantly executed. Looking forward to reading more from this author!
