This is a really cute story that gave me some Goodnight, Moon vibes. It's a really sweet book that would make a good book to read at bedtime especially in February or any day.
Night Night, Valentine is yet another wonderful story for young children written by Amy Parker and illustrated by Virginia Allyn. Just like the other books in this series, this books is short and sweet with beautiful pictures that will grab the attention of the young child. This story follows a panda family as they decorate, pick flowers, make cookies and make hearts.
I just love this story, it will be perfect to read to the grandchildren for Valentine’s Day. The pictures are so nice, and once again those little mice are blended into the beautiful pictures. The story is the perfect length to keep the little child’s attention, especially with finding things in the pictures. This is a great story to help the little child learn ways to give love to others, whether it be by writing notes, allowing their mom alone time or snuggling with dad. While all these things are great to give, a hugs is the best gift of all before bed.
When I noticed this book was available on Netgalley, I knew I had to have it as a special treat to read to my grandchildren this Valentine’s season. I thank the publisher and NetGalley for offering this complimentary ebook. This is my honest review.
This book felt like “Goodnight moon” meets gratitude. It was such a beautiful story about family and taking the time to appreciate what matters with practical applications for the kiddos who read it and heartwarming wisdom for the parents, too. With beautiful illustrations and poetic stanzas, it’s a perfect Valentine’s Day book to add to your rotation and make a new family tradition. Five stars!

This is a lovely and sweet book. It is an easy way for children to see all the things to be thankful for and the illustrations are lovely.
This is an absolutely adorable story with beautiful illustrations for young children about Valentine’s Day and the love we have for our family.
Night Night, Valentine by Amy Parker is absolutely charming. It follows the adventures of a family of panda bears with cameos of a family of mice as they are preparing for Valentine's Day, The panda bear family tell multiple items "night, night" after completing the associated activities.
As a busy mom, I especially loved the page where the mother's were recognized. It says "Even mommies need a break from everything they do - I'll run a big 'ol bubbly bath to tell her I love you. Night, night Mommy."
I would be remiss if I did not mention the absolutely adorable illustrations. The illustrator has created sweet and lovable panda bears with great attention to detail to keep little ones engaged.
My fifteen year old daughter was here during bedtime routine reading for her four year old brother. She kept pointing out things to him. This book truly has details that will continue to make it a favorite long after the holiday has passed. Your little ones will reach for it again and again.
The book will keep little ones engaged with the colorful illustrations and repetition of saying "night, night." My almost four year old was enthralled.
Plus, outside of Valentine's day the ideas work well to recognize and say good night to all the things kids love. Including, God who all love stems from.
I was provided a free advance reader copy from Thomas Nelson Children's in exchange for my honest review on Net Galley. The opinions shared in this review are my own.
This is a cute story for kids. It gives them projects to do for Valentines Day. It also gets them to appreciate the people and things in their life. The illustrations are really good.
This is a cute story for Valentine’s Day, similar to Goodnight Moon. Young children would probably enjoy it. It does reference love from above and God, so just be aware of that. Beautiful illustrations.

I read this to my 2 year old son, and he loved the vivid pictures. After each page, he would really take the pictures in and tell me what he saw. The book is simple and has a great story to it!
This is a cute book with a. good message to say thank you and goodnight to all the things we love-regardless of the season. The illustrations are vivid and the pandas are so cute. I liked the repetition of the "night night" but was confused on why the characters were saying good night in the middle of the day according to the illustrations. It was nice to see the panda children stop to thank their parents especially the mother. Overall this has a great message.
Night Night, Valentine by Amy Parker is a sweet, little, picture book to enjoy this Valentine's Day!
For one, the illustrations in this book are colourful and fun! They make you enjoy reading the story and make it more engaging.
We have our panda friends setting up for Valentine's Day - there's decorating, smiles and fun to go around. They end up saying "Night, Night" to a lot of different things throughout the book. There is a pinch of religion in this book, so buyer beware if you don't want to bring up God to your young ones.
Overall, this is cute and engaging book to read for children zero to four years old.
Three out of five stars.
Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.
Night Night, Valentine by Amy Parker is an adorable tale of a panda family who is getting ready to celebrate Valentines. This book shows how to celebrate the many things we love and how we can celebrate loved ones with notes, treats, and hugs. It does have a dose of religion in it and discusses God's promises filling up the sky as they fill up His book. I was unaware that there was a religious element and was hoping it would be a cute Valentine book to use in the classroom, but it would not be appropriate in many classrooms.
What a sweet bedtime book. It has beautiful illustrations and a wonderful story of all the things to be thankful for. This book would make a beautiful gift for Valentine's Day or any day. Thank you Thomas Nelson: CHILDREN'S -

Night Night, Valentine by Amy Parker. I love children’s books especially children’s books that have wonderful illustrations if I see my grandchildren before Valentines Day I will read this very sweet book to her. I will buy it for my granddaughter and read it to her on future Valentines Days. Right now she is in the chewing stage of books being only 9 Months old.
A fun holiday night-night book to teach children about what love looks like for Valentines day. And not just romantic love but love for creation, friends, and family as well as God's love for us.
This cute board book shows a panda family getting ready for Valentine's Day. It emphasizes love for family and friends, and shows the pandas participating in special activities for the holiday, like making decorations, sending cards to people, and making cookies. The story emphasizes that the good things in our lives are gifts from God, and references God's promises and the Bible on one page. Night, Night Valentine is an adorable book saying goodnight to all the thing we do to get ready for Valentines Day. Super cute illustrations and a sweet message on every page. I love that the author chose pandas for the family because they are just so cute and cuddly looking.
This book is pretty standard for the series. Each set of pages have something that is being said good night too. It has a love theme and only mentions valentine in the title and at the very end so this book could be used for various story time theses without regulating it to the Holiday shelf.
Night Night, Valentine is a delightful rhyming story that celebrates Valentine's Day! The panda family decorate their house, bake heart-shaped cookies and make cards for their family and friends. After each activity, the pandas tell something or someone good night. It is a faith based, family story sharing that all good things come from God above as they enjoy the day together. This is the third Night, Night book and we have read one other. I found this one a bit calmer than the Halloween one, which had a lot of action for a bedtime story. The illustrations by Virginia Allyn are wonderful. They are large, vibrant and full of happy characters and love between them. This board book will make a great story any time of year, because showing love to your children/grandchildren is an always activity.
I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

The picture in this is so cute. You follow a panda bear taking you through the daily steps of Valentine’s Day. This is a religious book. It discusses thoughtful gifts for everyone from mom and day, friends, and grandparents.
I would recommend this to anyone with small children who enjoys pandas, God, and Valentine’s Day gift giving.

This is a book to remind children to be grateful for their surroundings. From a simple matter to their parents, these are the things/people we usually take for granted, and even got mad to God when He took them back. A simple reminder in the form of a book with cute illustration will help them (and us) to appreciate what God has given us.

Impressions: Valentine's day is right around the corner for us so this book came at the perfect time to review. The pictures were colorful and charming. The actual story however had some difficulties. We didn’t understand the point of saying goodnight to tasks before the day was done. For example, the book starts with tasks such as decorating and making valentines for friends and family, however, each page says “night, night” as if they are going to bed. It was confusing the way it read. The tasks would have read better if they went through the day and then said goodnight one by one to all the fun they had, similar to Goodnight Moon. Overall it was a cute book, the order of events and verbiage threw us off a bit.
