Description
Ladies and Gentlemen. Welcome to this season of Battle Games!
At the end of the 21 Century a new sport is dominating international popularity, the Battle Games. With every game containing up to three random events where melee combat is not only encouraged, it's the only way to win. Meet Annuna, the A-Ranked team who are favorites to win this year's championship.
Disaster strikes as the team's captain and star player Giant Slayer, is injured and taken out for the rest of the season. Leadership now falls to the rigid vice-captain, Harpy, who's militant and often violent administrations causes friction among her teammates. Add to this already combustible mix a new player, Silver, who's arrogant and braggadocious behavior threatens to break the team apart.
Inter-team politics are not their only problem. Powerful rival teams, family ties, and a past that just won't die threatens everything they've worked for. Can they overcome and win the A-rank championship or will they tear each other apart before another team gets the chance. Find out in the first installment of Battle Games.
Advance Praise
"As I read this book, the thought that ran through my head was what a creative imagination.
The history and the vivid description of the battle games as the teams compete will draw you in. The personalities that Mr. Ratcliffe assigns to each member of team Anunna will keep you turning the pages.
After reading Battle Games Book One I can't wait to see what Mr. Ratcliffe does in Book Two."
