Description
Since September 11, 2001 there has been blood in the water and the predators
have been circling. The ensuing decade has brought little solace or healing to
our wounds. Now, Persia Rising brings you an unflinching plunge into the next
major attack upon the United States of America, our allies, and our way of life,
set to occur on the anniversary of 9/11. A psychopath, Ajay Majumbar, born to a
moderate Muslim family in rural Texas, walks a terrible path toward murder and
destruction as he facilitates the most horrendous terror attacks to ever occur
on American soil. The American and NATO enemies in Iran, China, and Russia
conspire to permanently eradicate the Western powers by seizing the opportunity
granted by Ajay's hatred and sadistic desires. The questionable allies of China
and Russia facilitate Iran's nuclear ambitions as Iranian intelligence
operatives and terrorist commandos execute the attacks that will establish the
next great Muslim Caliphate in historic Persia. The future is decided here. Can
our nation survive? Will our culture survive? Will you survive?

This
review is from: Persia
Rising (The Long War Series) (Kindle Edition)Such a well written
book from a first time author. Amazing detail and character development. The
story line is scary just because it could really happen. I can't wait for the
next book in the series!
5.0 out of 5 stars Wildcat, February 13, 2012 By Angelia Rosende (Breckenridge, Co USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Persia Rising (Paperback) Mr Langford writes a frighteningly believable story in the style of Tom Clancy. Once you start reading his book you will not be able to put it down! Very well written.
5.0 out of 5 stars Hang on for a wild ride!!, January 28, 2012 By The Boss - See all my reviews This review is from: Persia Rising (Paperback) This book is easy to read with a gripping narrative which flows effortlessly. The author provides very solid character development and vivid descriptions of people, places and actions. The subject matter is sometimes shocking, with fanatical, crazy or evil people perpetrating heinous crimes against humanity, but also heroic acts in the defense of others. This tale is not for the faint-hearted, the action sequences read like a season of "24",so get ready, this will make a great motion picture!
5.0 out of 5 stars A Real Possibility, December 17, 2011 By Dave - See all my reviews This review is from: Persia Rising (Paperback) This could really happen. The places and people were real. Well researched plot. Characters believeable. Very interesting. Fictional story would recommend this book. Buy it for yourself or a friend.
5.0 out of 5 stars can't wait for the sequel, December 4, 2011 By rhinoman - See all my reviews This review is from: Persia Rising (Paperback) Great fiction that could very easily transcend into reality. A post 9/11 continuum of our nation's terror threat. The story kept making me think "when" not "if". Several different heroes emerge throughout the story and all I could do was put my self in their shoes. The story can only get better from here. Can't wait!!!
