This was a really cute illustrated book about Hanukkah and physics. The pictures were bright, and would be sure to catch the attention of a little one.

Very cute. Hard concept explained with day to day things like toys. Well done. Inclusive too, knowing that different babies come from diffrent cultures.

Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this storybook for toddlers. With bright pictures and simple sentences toddlers can learn about Hanukkah and how a Dreidel spins. A definite buy for my curious 5 year old son!

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

I am a big fan of these board books. Such a great idea and children are never to young to start understanding the laws of physics.
This book opens a discussion between reader and child, in this case, angular momentum at Hanukkah. It considers the child by creating a story about what happens when you spin a dreidel and why it slows down and wobbles. As well as the dreidel, the book talks about lighting the candles and celebrating Hanukkah.
Bright bold and cheerful illustrations by Irene Chan help to keep the child happy and engaged and it is a joy to read out loud.
Angular momentum itself may be a bit too complicated for baby to make a connection with, but if they have a dreidel or spinning wheel, they can join in and that is what the book encourages the readers to do.

I just love this series! So educational but on young children’s level. Beautiful pictures that help tell the story even if a non reading child is looking through it alone but great for parents to read to their children and prompts a great discussion.

This Baby Loves book is really adorable and teaches kids about angular momentum!  All through showing them how a Hanukkah dreidel works in related to angular momentum. It's never too early to teach kids about engineering and get them interested in science and I thought this book was really well done in teaching about how things work!

I received a free e-copy of this book to review from NetGalley. I was not otherwise compensated.

Love this series. Tying Hanukkah and the dreidel in with learning about physics of motion was a clever pairing. This was very well-written and had fun illustrations of baby with his friends.

This would be a great classroom read about aloud about Hanukah. Also, for a science class and how momentum works through the example of a dreidel. The pictures are so nicely illustrated and you feel like you are with the kids learning about these topics.

I love the series of "baby loves" books, this one was no different. I learned a lot and the illustrations were bright and fun!

I love this book so much. This series is awesome, but I love that this book combines science words like “torque” and “gravity” with the holiday of Hanukkah. My children are not Jewish, but I already have plans to buy this book because it’s that great! In fact, all of my friends with kids will be getting this book from me! The illustrations are not too busy, have great labels for the pictures of the dreidel, and are easy to follow. I love at the end when the author writes, “not all of baby’s friends celebrate Hanukkah, but they can spin the dreidel!” because it’s so inclusive.
If you have a baby, or a toddler, Add this to your list!

Angular momentum explained to a baby. No, maybe not exactly a baby, but more likely a curious child. Explained simply what angular momentum is, kids will have an example of it on a dreidel (a Jewish spinning top) played on Hanukkah. But it's OK if Baby doesn't understand much, we still can play with it.

Such a great little book! Not only do littles learn about Hanukkah, but they learn about angular momentum using a spinning dreidel. The language is clear and simple, but doesn't talk down to kids (or their adults). The engaging, colorful illustrations make this interesting to look at for toddlers, and the will help the concepts stick in young minds. A fun, inclusive addition to any youngster's book collection!

This is the second book of the series/theme that I have read. I absolutely love combining the topics of science and holidays. It makes it fun and educational. This book is perfect for a story time with an activity. You can buy a dreidel or make one (either functional or just coloring) to pair with reading.
