Megan in her job as paramedic gets sent to a shooting and realizes its a man that ruined her life.
From the off this has the shock factor and twists and turns many times over always keeping you guessing.
I was not close in my assumptions as to what happened and the final twist was surprising.
Did find at times the book went a bit into exploring a few too many potential suspects and felt it lost its way a bit on occasion.
Tackles the difficult subject of rape and the challenges a court faces with that. Lots of characters to mistrust and perceptions of characters change utterly brilliantly.
Clever, challenging, mysterious.
I really enjoyed this & found it to be a book that I just kept turning the pages on, just to find out who the culprit was. I liked Megan & Jess and the ways they coped with the night that ruined their lives. There's lots of twists & turns in here, and while I suspected the villain, I never guessed how they did it.
