Description
On September 11th, 2001, Islamic terrorists hijacked four passenger airliners, creating the worse attack on American soil in over fifty years. Now, they have infiltrated America, using operatives to broaden the war against the United States by once again bringing the fight directly to US soil. These operatives were inconspicuously placed in the country to build an underground infrastructure from which to launch strikes against their selected targets.
This is the terrifying scenario posed in K.C. Lindberg’s suspenseful debut novel as Muslim terrorists coordinate an attack to destabilize the US government. Hoping to coordinate four simultaneous terrorist events across all four time zones, the Mujahedeen will demonstrate the inherent weakness of the United States against the power of Islam and push our government to overreact, thus increasing the terrorists’ ability to recruit new soldiers for the Jihad. As October 10th, the day of the attacks nears, their targets chosen and methods in place, The US President and a handful of advisers attempt to thwart the coming devastation to keep the country from being thrown, as the terrorists believe, into a state of weakness and chaos.
A sobering look at the rationale, methods, and mindset of international terrorists, Lindberg paints a tense, riveting sequence of events whose plausibility is all too real. Full of authentic procedures and protocol, dynamic dialogue, and page-turning action, this shocking action-thriller will keep you riveted from page one to its explosive climax. By examining America’s strategic weaknesses to fabricate a realistic threat, Rise of the Red Crescent creates a startling image of our country once again fighting a war on our own soil.

I really enjoyed this book. I'm a media professor
who doesn't often have time to read fiction, but once I began reading, I had a
difficult time putting this one down. It's easy to identify with the
characters and the challenges they face. The plot is believable, involving,
suspenseful, and surprising at times.
While this is not a "Christian book", its characters are very real
people, who like many of us have faith and depend on it. I enjoyed reading a
book about true warriors without expletive-laden dialogue, and I found the book
to be grounded and realistic, with the insights of someone who has some
expertise with security issues.
When I finished the last page, I wanted more.... I highly recommend this book.
It's a great read. It makes you think. It honors those who serve.

This is a great read! If you like a book that holds your attention and has you waiting on the edge of your seat to see what happens next, then this is the book for you. It is well written in that many different subplots are handled smoothly so that you know exactly what is going on and how it all ties together. I hope there is a sequel

Lindberg hit the nail right on the head with this
book. This should be required reading for every American, and especially the
younger generation.
As a military retiree and combat vet I have special insight into what is really
possible. This is entirely possible folks....wake up America!
This book is a great wake up call for this country. Thanks for writing
this....I would also buy a hard copy if available.

This review is from: Rise of the Red Crescent (Paperback) America has become too complacent. I feel we have forgotten the horror of September 11. This is really eye opening and thought provoking. Definitely a page turner! Can't wait to read the next book.
