Description
The Tough Class isn’t good at listening to anyone except their beloved teacher, Miss Feesenschneezen. She just has a way with them. When Principal Armstrong decides the class needs to take the President’s Physical Fitness Challenge, he puts Miss Feesenschneezen in charge, along with P.E. instructor (and trombone player) Mr. Fulcrum. The Physical Fitness Challenge is much harder than anyone imagined, and no fun at all. While the Principal is away at a conference, the two teachers bring in several fitness “experts” to coach the kids: a bodybuilder (and former Airborne Ranger) who believes in the power of strength training to unleash human potential; an Olympic marathon medalist from Kenya who runs a five-minute mile backwards, and a mysterious martial arts instructor who creates a busy day for school nurse Mrs. Schmertz. Meanwhile, the new healthy (but inedible) school lunch program has all the students running low on fuel. Nothing helps until Miss Feesenschneezen’s friend Katya, a ballerina who danced in the former Soviet Union, shows the students how anyone can achieve better fitness.
This second book in the Miss Feesenschneezen series pokes fun at the silliness that finds its way into every school. The story is full of gentle, irreverent humor that students, parents, and teachers can all appreciate.
