Children's Illustrated Book Teaches Everyone Can Be Best Friends Even Though We Are Different 

Quacky the duck comes barreling into the lives of the Riley family when he strikes up a friendship with Jill the youngest daughter. At the age of 88, Joan Petersen wrote her first children's book and is working on two more books to be released this year. With the ebook released earlier  and already an Amazon bestseller, Joan is hoping that the paperback will encourage children to help others.   

Joan is a dedicated supporter of Veterans and Active Troops, and she is always looking to lend a helping hand. Joan supports seniors, children in homeless shelters. She is devoted to finding ways that she can give someone a smile everyday.

When not writing she is crocheting, and creating care packages for those who need some cheer, and extra love, including veterans, teens, and seniors.
