Advance Praise
The author’s fast-paced narrative makes this taut tale a quick, enjoyable read. This agile thriller makes doing the right thing both nerve-wracking and exciting.
--Kirkus Reviews
"The author was born and raised in Appalachian, Virginia, and this shines through in the depth of his characters, and the details of this story. ‘The Forest of Smoke and Fog’ is a cleverly written southern gothic mystery thriller, steeped in secrecy, and guaranteed to keep you intrigued until the very last page. Highly recommended."

read this fast-paced novel in a day, as I couldn’t put it down! Up until the very end I wasn’t certain of the outcome. What I loved most were the beautiful descriptive terms McGlothlin used to paint each setting of the novel- I felt like I was there!

Two brothers who have drifted apart are brought together by the death of their father. Was his death an accident or murder? Can the brothers resolve their differences and keep the family business in the family?
Great characters and so many twists that you only resolve this by reading to the last page. Loved every page, enjoy.
