"What a terrific read "Woodson Falls: 9 Donovan’s Way" is! It seems like a pleasant sleepy town, but beneath the everyday lives of the townspeople, surprising secrets and schemes unfold. What appears at first to be a routine death by heart attack has unforeseen twists and turns. Attorney Gaby Quinn approaches the problems she encounters with compassion and truly clever instincts. This was an engrossing mystery that was written with a knowledgeable background on a wide variety of subjects that gave rich dimension to the characters, the plot and the town of Woodson Falls. The townspeople felt like familiar friends, and I hated to turn the last page… no matter how satisfying the story was to me. I know there are more secrets in Woodson Falls yet to be unearthed! You will find it hard to put down once you get started… I must admit I read it into the wee hours of the morning!

"This is the second book in the Gaby Quinn Mystery series, and the second I’ve read set in Woodson Falls. Another good mystery told from the viewpoint of Gaby Quinn, the local attorney. The character development and clues are spot on—and it’s good to see Gaby’s relationships, particularly with Matt and Nell, developing; and her own character building and becoming stronger and more confident. This story focuses on the mysterious death of an author and the disappearance of his girlfriend, but there are side issues dealt with as well along the way, all of which add to the rounding out of the town, its residents and its problems. The end of the book gives us a tantalizing glimpse into the focus of the next story. I’m looking forward to it and hoping that the series continues as I am now very much invested in these characters."
