I love reading through cookbooks! This is a tradition that my mother-in-law passed along to me. This one is different because it is an alternate kitchen counter small appliance that many people, including myself, own. I have used it largely to heat up frozen French fries in a spectacular way, but really haven’t made much else in it. This will certainly change this.
This cookbook is divided as a typical cookbook but with the addition of instructions and recipes that will be easily made in the Air Fryer. Many of these recipes are staples with a twist. I can’t wait to start trying these. The best aspect of this book is the additional information that is included with each recipe. For instance, there is information about alternative ingredients that can be used for a recipe and hand’s on time as well as cooking time. The author includes when to shake or flip the food and even the cost per serving. The photos are well done and are usually my favorite aspect of a cookbook. I love these photos and wish there were even more, but the information from the author is my favorite for this particular book.
Oh, and by the way, we made the Bruschetta Chicken tonight and it was delicious! Even high reviews from family who are skeptical of new recipes.
Highly recommend for those trying to come up with ideas for other ways to utilize the Air Fryer!

This was a fantastic cookbook of air fryer recipes! I appreciated the amount of recipes and the fact that they were all relatively cheap to make. I love my air fryer and am always looking for a good cook book with air fryer recipes. I never even thought to make desserts in my air fryer! Very happy with this cookbook,
Thank you NetGalley and Adams Media for access to this ARC!
Thank you for an ARC of The "I Love My Air Fryer" Affordable Meals Recipe Book.
I bought an air fryer last year and have only used it to make mostly small snacks like fried shrimp, onion rings and fries.
This cookbook was great!
Not only does the author offer easy and affordable recipes to make, nearly all of them are delicious and simple to make.
She also provides a budget breakdown of how much each meal costs as well as shortcuts; frozen items you can just pop into the air fryer, and jazz them up with a few personal touches.
Since I love sweets, I especially loved the section on desserts, which covers pretty much popular recipes that will satisfy any sweet tooth.
I just wished there were more photos!
I received a free digital copy of this book from Netgalley for an honest review.
I've recently started using my air fryer, and I love finding new and easy recipes for it. I always get so surprised when I see that certain things can be cooked in an air fryer. French toast? Bacon? No way!
Love this collection!
Favorite recipes:
Banana bread
Pigs in a blanket
Honey goat cheese balls
Fried pickles
I'll be honest, I don't have an air fryer. I'm reading books such as this one to see what I can make. Very intriguing. So many great recipes. More than my usual cookbooks.
Thanks to author, publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book. While I got the book for free, it had no bearing on the rating I gave it.
There are some great recipes to be found in this book. The great thing about air frying food is that you can make some of your favorite comfort foods a little more healthy. There is an abundance of recipes in the book. I was particularly enthralled with the breakfast section and can't wait to make homemade breakfast pastries!
What a gem of a cookbook! I adore my air fryer but had no idea there were so many things I could be making with it! I also feed a family of four- three meals a day plus snacks. The affordable aspect of this book is awesome!
This recipe book had every topic of meal covered with ideas! The pages are simple with the ingredient list in yellow which makes it easy to scan. The recipe is typically short and sweet which is great for a busy mom! Each page also says how long it takes to prep, to cook and what it costs! I love that they’ve also included all the serving facts- something I never know when I make things myself!
I’d love to have this book in print to keep on hand in my kitchen! I’m definitely not a chef so this book is worded so perfectly for the every-day- person. I saved quite a few recipes to try out. I had no idea I could make this many things in my air fryer! What an excellent resource!
Ok, so I am becoming a little bit of a nerd about air fryer cookbooks. Different enough of an appliance, I relied on cookbooks to help with cooking times and best practices through my learning process. Even now when I understand enough to adapt my own recipes, I still love checking out the latest cookbooks. And this is a really god one. It includes enough to get a novice up-to-speed quickly. What sets it apart is finding good recipes to feed your family without breaking the bank. Each recipe includes a cost per serving that I found interesting. Good recipes using affordable ingredients. I only have made one so far, but I have a decent-sized list that I will be making soon.
What a wonderful recipe! I just purchased my air fryer and I cannot wait to cook everything in this cookbook! I'm so very excited. Sure, these don't follow a particular diet, but they look delicious and that's all I need!
This is an excellent beginner to escort book on the basics of an air fryer, equipment needed, basic techniques, then breaking into recipes. I highly recommend to all who are new to air fryers.
I told myself no more cookbooks this year, then I had to go preview this book. I already preordered the book. I love my Air Fryer it is one of my favorite appliances in the kitchen. This book just upped my Air Fryer game. The layout is easy to follow the recipes are easy ingredients to find and ones you would have on hand. From breakfast, meals to desserts this has you covered. I have a family of seven and this recipe book is just what I needed. If you have an Air Fryer I strongly suggest adding this book to your shelf.
Unlike so many cookbooks these days, these recipes don't insist you buy fancy ingredients or only organic foods. Instead, it meets you where you are -- trying to put nutritious meals on the table without spending a fortune. These yummy recipes give you great dishes, desserts, and sides, you can use anytime.
The recipes are clearly written and each includes cost per serving and nutrition information. Steps for making are clearly written. While the dishes include many pantry staples, they are not full of pre-made convenience foods outside of pastry and doughs.
It's a very useful book.
Having just gotten an air fryer, I was eager to find things I can cook in it and this cookbook was great! I love how it has a variety of things to cook, from simple to a little more complicated, and that even the more complicated recipes aren't too crazy. I also love the cost breakdown with each recipe. If you are new to air frying like me, this cookbook will be great to have with you in the kitchen!
I loved looking through this book. My air fryer is already a necessity in my household and having new recipes to try that are quick will be a lifesaver.
This book has full easy recipes with instructions, average meal prices, as well as the calorie, fat, protein, etc content of them as well.
Some of the recipes had photos to go with them already in this version of it which made it all the more enjoyable.
I can't wait to check it out in person to see full pictures of each recipe and to try some of them out.
I don’t know anyone who hasn’t been impacted by the new inflation we are experiencing in the US; it’s simply more expensive to feed our families. Since most of us are in love with our air fryers, Aileen Clark’s cookbook, The "I Love My Air Fryer" Affordable Meals Recipe Book: From Meatloaf to Banana Bread, 175 Delicious Meals You Can Make for under $12 cookbook is very timely, and has dozens of mouthwatering meals that can be made on a tight budget. The author, a seasoned blogger (a href=" https://aileencooks.com" rel='nofollow'> Aileen Cooks ) and recipe developer has included family friendly recipes that are mostly quick and easy with a short list of ingredients.
The recipes are traditionally written and easy-to-follow. They will appeal to almost everyone, and are easy enough that anyone – from beginning cooks to advanced cooks – will be able to turn out picture perfect meals. Unfortunately, there are only a few photographs, so readers will have to use their imagination to picture how a dish should look. All the recipes tried so far have turned out perfectly, so it’s obvious that they have been tested.
If you have an air fryer, you’ll want to add this excellent cookbook to your recipe collection. Not only does it have good recipes, but also air fryer basics as well as ways to save money on ingredients. Incidentally, most of the ingredients called for can be obtained at most local grocery stores – no need to go to more expensive specialty stores. You’ll find yourself cooking dozens of recipes from this book and some will certainly become family favorites.
Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.
What a nice introduction to Air Frying! I really enjoyed this cookbook. As a newby AirFryer, I was pretty clueless as to how to best put this tool to use and I found the book extremely helpful. Just looking at the wonderful photos inspired me to attempt things I certainly would never have attempted otherwise. I tried 5 of the recipes to date and found them easy to use, clear, concise and very tasty. Highly recommend!
I really enjoyed this and am looking forward to making more of the recipes! I enjoyed the beef tenderloin!
This might be the best cookbook I've ever looked through. I wanted to make almost every recipe as soon as I read them! Air fryers are so convenient, and this book made it even easier to plan meals using the appliance. Each meal had a simple ingredient list and everything can be made on a budget. I particularly loved the pizza pockets, pesto grilled cheese sandwiches, and beef empanadas. The entire cookbook is not only budget-friendly, but excellent for working people who don't have endless time to cook dinner! I also learned a lot more about what I could do with an air fryer! I never knew I could make breads, cakes, and things like Mongolian beef! I will be recommending this book to anyone with an air fryer!
This cookbook was a good cookbook that had a variety of recipes that were both easy to follow and delicious. After making a few, I did not feel as if I needed to be a gourmet chef in skill or in pantry contents to complete such family friendly recipes that my family did indeed enjoy.
Ok, I bought my air fryer thinking it was something my hubby would be using to make fries or easy frozen things like that. After perusing this cookbook, I see there is a whole world of yummy things to make with it! I will definitely be using this book a lot because everything in it looks delicious!
Good book of air fryer recipes that are easy to make and affordable, but still interesting. The book includes a "Cooking with an Air Fryer" intro section and recipe chapters on Breakfast, Appetizers and Snacks, Side Dishes, Chicken Main Dishes, Beef and Pork Main Dishes, Fish and Seafood Main Dishes, Vegetarian Main Dishes, and Desserts. There were a few pictures in each chapter, but not for every recipe. The recipes all included a cost and nutritional info, and many of them had tips.
Awesome air fryer cookbook! And it’s actual recipes not just processed food you have to reheat! This is terrific. Lots of easy recipes. Recipes that you would not expect at all to be able to air fry! I’m so excited to try all of these!
This may be my fav of the “I Love My Air Fryer” series! The recipes are super simple and use ingredients that are either on hand or easy to grab at the supermarket and they’re quick and easy to prepare. And they’re cost efficient and healthier options to eating out or frying in grease. The pictures are gorgeous and there’s a quick reference guide if measurements in the back and a beginner “how to” on using an air fryer in the front. This book is not compliant in any way and I mean that in the best way. I will be purchasing one for myself and likely as gifts this holiday season.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this Arc in exchange for my review.
This air fryer cookbook was awesome. My air fryer does not have shelves, so some of these recipes were not do-able with my air fryer. However, Ive made similar in the oven or modified most with my air fryer. These are all delicious. I love that this cookbook didn't have so much fluff, but was straight forward with recipes and directions .
This is a great cookbook. It has a variety of recipes that can be cooked in minutes in the air fryer. I made several of them, including the Brown Sugar Pork Chops and the corn of the cob. Both were excellent. I am excited to try others. All of them use common items that are found in your kitchen or easily obtained from the local grocer.
I received an ARC from Adams Media through NetGalley. This in no way affects my opinion or rating of this book. I am voluntarily submitting this review and am under no obligation to do so.
I have gotten an air fryer and had no idea on the amount of food one can cook through this machine, and seeing the ideas in this book proves that you can cook more with an air fryer than in an oven! I was amazed at the recipes provided as I thought air frying was only for like fried food but didn't realize that you can include breads and meat. This is a good addition to my kitchen of books as I try out different recipes.
I love Aileen Clark’s The "I Love My Air Fryer" Affordable Meals Recipe Book! Each recipe has the nutritional information per serving plus the cost to make. This cookbook is very informative and helpful, and a cookbook that I feel certain will become one of my favorites. I can’t wait to try the blueberry muffins!
Excellent cookbook filled with easy, family friendly recipes with clear, concise instructions and easy to find ingredients. Great photos. Cannot wait to try air-fryer carrot fries, Mongolian beef, and churros among many others. I’d definitely buy a copy of this cookbook.
**thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the e-arc I received**
Loved this book! I saved so many recipes that I can't wait to try! I've already tried the spaghetti squash tacos and it was so easy and delicious!
Thank you to netgalley for providing me with an arc for an honest review!
Really cool book that introduced me to a lot of great new recipes and helped me to get more comfortable using my air fryer. Highly recommend!!
I love this cookbook, especially with my newfound love for the air fryer! I really appreciate the focus on affordability which is always something I have to take into account when meal prepping. It is nice to have one consideration in cooking already thought out for you. Many of the ideas and recipes were new to me and have helped me feel more competent in the kitchen. Thank you to NetGalley and Adams Media for a copy of this book for an honest review.
Thank you to Natgally and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
I wanted to try this cook book because I recently purchased an air fryer and I wanted to expand my use of it beyond just veggies and the occasional potato based dish. This cookbook has a ton of recipes that I would have never have thought to make in an air fryer and is a really helpful tool in turning my air fryer into an actual cooking tool and not just a thing that takes up space in my kitchen. There is a wide variety of options and I even found the recipes easily adjustable for my dietary restrictions.
This is a gem of a cookbook for the airfryer, straightforward recipes with straightforward ingredients. It's a good book to give you some cooking inspiration. So far I have made: monkey bread, egg bites, honey goat's cheese balls (really delicious) and Parmesan cauliflower. all the recipes were accurate and easy to follow.
I loved that this recipe book has SO MANY recipes!!! I also liked that it included an approximate price per serving with each recipe, perfect for a family on a budget. These recipes are quick and easy, nothing that you haven't tried before and not going to far outside of a US diners' comfort zone. You will have so many choices in each category, from appetizers, snacks, breakfast, dinners, dessert... everything you can dream of! Because the recipes are rather straight forward, you can customize them to make outside of your air fryer too - which I did with the sandwiches, as it seemed easier to grill the traditional way.. I made the Blue Cheese Burgers and Onion Rings. The burgers were amazing and I can't wait to make them again. I was less impressed with the onion rings, after all the work coating them, I wish they would have been more memorable. I also made Sausage Breakfast Burritos, and wow - just a couple minutes in the air fryer after assembling them give them a fabulous crispy outside that I'll be going back to!
Some of the vegetarian recipes that caught my eye and are next on my list to try: Spaghetti Squash Tacos, Blackberry and Goat Cheese grilled cheese sandwiches, and Italian Portobello Mushroom Steaks,
I love the fact that it gave me really interesting ideas that I had never considered before. I really enjoyed some of the recipes. Like every cook book there are recipes that you like and recipes that you dont or wont even attempt, so that is why it is important to have a variety.
I was given an advance copy by netgalley and the publishers but the review is entirely my own.
An awesome collection of air fryer recipes that are not boring and won't break the bank! Everything from appetizers to casseroles to fancy entrees can be made in the air fryer apparently..I can't wait to try making a cobbler!!
I like the ease of the recipes in this book. They don't call for crazy spices or ingredients that's gonna have me trapsing around the city to find. It is straight forward simple food. A breakfast section, apps, chicken, beef and pork rounding out with shrimp & salmon dishes. This cookbook has a little but of everything for every one. A great addition to any cooks library.
Thank you to Netgalley and publishers for the arc in exchange for my honest opinion.
Recipe book delivered what it promised…
Part of a series specifically for air fryer appliances, this recipe book delivered. I think this book would appeal for beginner cooks, air fryer lovers and those looking for recipes on the not expensive side. Ranging in complexity, some meals were made up of just a few ingredients while others had different components with their own steps to complete. Types of dishes included appetizers, mail dishes, sweets and everything in between.
All of it was laid out in easy to read fashion, clear lists of ingredients with many showcased in colourful, inviting pictures. For experienced cooks looking for a simple dish to beginners afraid to venture, this has something to appeal to everyone. I’m a newbie to the air fryer and having helpful hints on how create a range of tasty meals was just what I needed!
I received an ARC of this book to read through NetGalley. All opinions are my own. The "I Love My Airfryer" Affordable Meals Recipe Book by Aileen Clark was a revelation to me. Like many, while stuck at home during the pandemic, I purchased an Air Fryer. The thing was, other than using it for re-heating french fries and frozen mozzarella sticks, I didn't really use it. I was beginning to think that it would be better just to pass it on to someone else because I wasn't using it at all. I found this book at the perfect time. The teen was off to college, cooking for one was frustrating, and I'd begun to depend on delivery too much. The recipes in the book have everything from snacks to full meals and desserts. Many of the recipes are easily adapted for smaller quantities, the ingredients are easily obtainable, affordable and I can make many of them more quickly and with less clean up than I would by traditional methods. The Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins, Chicken Taquitos, Maple Salmon, Smashed Red Potatoes, Maple Bacon Brussel sprouts, and Root Vegetable recipes are ones that I will make over and over. The recipes are well written and easy to follow. My only gripe would be that I wish there were pictures of all the recipes. My air fryer attachment to my instant pot has sat in my cupboard, mostly unused since I bought it. So, I was excited to try out this cookbook, chock full of ideas.
I would never have imagined making breakfast using the air fryer until reading this., but the idea of making French toast or banana bread using fascinating. I’m also interested in the puff pastry ideas, and excited by the idea of making a frittata without worrying about getting it cooked on the top (always a struggle).
I appreciated the focus on affordability, but for me there were a few too many recipes with bacon and/or cheese for my liking; defiantly a bent more toward comfort food (great if you enjoy that!).
Sides like maple Brussel sprouts or roasted veggies and whole chicken have me intrigued, though. And I want to try making churros, shortbread, and the sea salt cookies- they all sound scrumptious.
Now, maybe I’ll learn to love my air fryer, and it won’t be so neglected!
I've been wanting an air fryer for a while and this book has convinced me to get one. I will definitely be making a ton of these recipes.
Oh, my! This book is chock full of recipes that are cheap and easy to make. There are a whole bunch of things that are easy week night meals and menu options. I will be adding quite a few of these to the menu at my house!
I really needed an innovative cookbook to help me change up my air fryer routine. The recipes in this beautifully illustrated book include many all-time favourite crowd pleasers:
Kale Chips
Fried Pickles
Potato Wedges (and Fries)
Corn on the Cob
Crispy Ranch Chicken Wings

Chicken Parmesan
Bruschetta Chicken (you add the tomatoes and seasoning half-way through)
<img src="https://cookathomemom.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Grilled-Bruschetta-Chicken-e1619481691970.jpg"/>
Orange Chicken (!!! Yummy !!!)
Mongolian Beef
Beef Empanadas
Lasagna
<img src="https://airfryeradventures.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/wpid-img_20150220_202842.jpg"/>
Salmon Cakes
Bang Bang Shrimp
Fish Sticks
Beer Battered Cod
... to name just a few!!!
What I love about this cookbook in particular is that the author includes an estimated cost guide: I love advance warnings! Some recipes can cost a fortune to whip up, especially if you have to search out or order exotic ingredients or spices. My taste buds were well and truly intrigued by the wealth and variety of recipes in this excellent cookbook! Cooking healthy is now even tastier - and faster - than ever. Who doesn't love "crispy on the outside - juicy and tender on the inside?"
Hint, hint: this air fryer guide and recipe book would make a great Xmas gift for foodies and cookbook collectors!

(Note: because the book was not yet published when I wrote this review, I was not allowed to use any of the pictures in this cookbooks. The illustrations I have used are from the internet.) My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for an ARC of this versatile cookbook in exchange for an honest review.
This cookbook is great!! as a beginner with my air fryer- I like that there are simple recipes but also unique ones all with keeping budgets in mind!! It has made my air fryer a lot less intimidating. I think the organization within and the flow was great! It has definitely opened my eyes to so much MORE that I can make in my air fryer beyond french fries lol!!! Great great resource for anyone with an air fryer!
A huge variety of real, affordable appetizers, side dishes, main courses, and desserts. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of recipes I was interested in from this cookbook - other air fryer cookbooks I've read contain food that seems either too fussy to make at home in any device or not worth the effort. With this book, I wished for more than one air fryer so I could have a side and a main both made from this cookbook! Nice work. Looking forward to cooking my way through it.
I have owned an air fryer for a while but was aware that I wasn't utilising it to its full potential, with the help of this book I have made a number of very tasty meals. The Orange Chicken and Pesto Chicken were both a big hit with my family. The recipes here are easy, cheap and simple to make. If you have an Air Fryer it is well worth owning a copy of this book. I do wish there were more pictures for the recipes but those that are included do look very good.
This book covers basics of selecting an air fryer and how to use it and money saving tips for buying groceries. The recipes include nutritional information and total cost and run the gamut from simple snacks to complex meals but they’re all affordable with simple ingredients that don’t require a trip to a specialty store. There are quite a few recipes that I’m excited to try out. This is a great book for anyone cooking on a budget.
This is an outstanding cookbook with useful recipes for the air fryer. It definitely highlights the usefulness and versatility of the appliance. The recipes are not complicated and the ones I tried turned out beautifully.
Easy Egg Bites
Cheese crackers
Pork Egg Rolls
Chicken Cream Cheese Taquitos
Buttery Pork Chops
Garlic Lemon Scallops
Apple Chips
Apple Fritters
I highly recommend this book, the only thing I would want is a picture for each recipe. 5 stars.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Loved this cookbook. I found some very good recipes and new ideals to try in the future. I do recommend this book.
I felt that this was overall a rather good cookbook! There are always recipes in a cookbook that I move past, but there were much less in this Air Fryer book! In addition, there was nothing "crazy gourmet" that you know no one will make. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the free copy of the book, I was able to make some delicious things such as the Brioche French Toast. Will definitely recommend!
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for my digital copy of The "I Love My Air Fryer" Affordable Meals Recipe Book!
I feel like I was late to the game in getting an air fryer. I finally bit the bullet and picked one up and what a game changer! The whole family loves it and we use it daily. This book has a ton of recipes and I love finding new things to cook in the air fryer. This is definitely a good resource to have on hand when looking for something new to cook.
Yum yum yum! I loved this cookbook. It left me drooling and I made several recipes. It was so easy to follow along and, oh boy! They were delicious recipes too. Highly recommend for working parents who need to make a quick but healthy and also delicious meal.
This cookbook provides affordable meals for your family that are quick and easy to make. The best part, is that all recipes can be made using only one kitchen tool, your air fryer. There are 175 different recipes, spanning different meals that you can make. The recipes include ingredients, cooking instructions, calories, and other important tips. Also, included are cost estimates, important for those of us cooking for a family and looking to be budget conscious. The recipes that I tried from the cookbook were tasty, and easy to make. I highly recommend this cookbook for anyone looking to expand their repertoire of cooking with an air fryer. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance review copy in exchange for my honest review.
I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. I can't keep air fryer books on the shelf. This title has lots of great pictures and easy-to-make recipes.
