Description
For Ion Frost, justice is cold as ice…
Former Special Forces Operative Ion Frost has one job left before he vanishes off the grid: deliver his dead comrade’s dog tags to his nephew, Lincoln, in Clear Rock, Wyoming. It should have been a quick, easy stop.
But for Ion Frost, things have a way of getting complicated…
Upon meeting Lincoln, Ion learns that his sister, Taya, has been missing for over a week. Ion can’t help but feel sorry for the kid. But time is ticking and he needs to keep moving.
His plans to disappear get put on hold, when a hidden assassin takes out Lincoln in a brutally efficient murder. With Lincoln dead and the dog tags missing, Ion is sure of one thing… Taya, the murder, and the missing tags must be connected somehow.
Now Ion is in the thick of it. He’s determined to find Lincoln’s killer, and deliver his own personal brand of justice. But the harder he searches, the more questions he finds. Who wanted Lincoln dead? Where is Taya?
And how long before his own brutal past catches up with him?

I got this opportunity to read Lethal Justice the first book by Ethan Reed, what a great debut! we get to follow Ion Frost trying to deliver the dog tags of his friend to his nephew in the small town of Lincoln. Then he plans to disappear because some bad people from his army days are trying to kill him. Well, the best laid plans of mice and men you know... There is something very wrong in the community of lincoln and we get a wild ride with Ion trying to get the problems sorted and at the same time keeping himself safe. Good luck with that. I must thank @netgalley and @relaypublishing for making this great book available to me. #EthanReed #Netgalley #LethalJustice

This is probably my favourite genre and this author fitted in well with those I would seek out to read again now.
Well written and an easy read, the characters are strong and the pace is just right.

Ion Frost #1
Superb action-packed thrilling story! I could not put it down and can’t wait to find out what will happen next. This may be a debut novel but definitely did not read like one!
What I liked:
* Frost: veteran, bomb disposal special operator, strong, lethal, intelligent, suffering from TBI, on a mission, damaged but not destroyed, survivor – someone I want to get to know much better.
* Sarah: tattoo artist, new acquaintance of Frost’s, has had rough times and may want some revenge for what happened in the past.
* Lincoln: the nephew of one of Frost’s friends, dies too young.
* The writing – superb – drew me in – held me tight
* The setting – Wyoming is a place I have always wanted to visit…but think I would steer clear of the town in this story…at least till it was sanitized!
* That Frost managed to survive all that he did – what an indomitable will he must have had.
* The flashbacks to time in Afghanistan that Frost had throughout the story
* That many bad guys were dealt with rather ruthlessly
* The action scenes worked
* The insights into Frost derived from conversations with his friend Brakespeare, his memories, and interactions with others.
* That Frost reminded me a bit of other main characters but was also a whole lot different than them and a character/individual in his own right.
* Wondering about a few things that I hope will become clearer over time:
- Will Frost’s brain settle or remain hampered?
- Will the evil doers that have a bounty on Frost’s head be thwarted?
- Who is the guy who called Frost at the end of the book?
- What will happen next?
* Hoping/knowing that there is another book coming
What I didn’t like:
* The bad guys that Frost encountered in Afghanistan and in Wyoming – they were easy to hate and wish a bad ending.
* Knowing that there are evil people in the world like the ones in this book
* Having to wait for the next book.
Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Definitely!
Thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC – This is my honest review.
