Diane Danvers Simmons is a woman with many titles: mother, world traveler, writer, film-maker, keynote speaker, podcast creator and host, reiki master, women’s empowerment activist and advocate. Her podcast, Mothers & Daughters Unfiltered, aims to create a community of informed and empowered women of all ages through curious, compassionate, candid and action-oriented conversation, with the core belief that we are not alone and that we are stronger together. Her new memoir, My Mother Next Door, explores her own motherly abandonment. After an accomplished career as a Senior Vice President, at Saatchi & Saatchi advertising and then Omnicom Media Group in London, New York, and L.A., Danvers Simmons founded the woman’s empowerment initiative Own it Feel it Live itâ — a simple tool to help women connect and balance mind, body and spirit for total wellbeing. A British native and American transplant, she leads a mission-driven life, aiming to share stories that shine a light, inspire humanity in each of us, understanding and unity in our fractured mad, mad world. She sits on the leadership council for the Women’s fund as well as being a founding partner of a global community called Women H2H and “The Hatton Neighborhood project”, part of the Nantucket project. Danvers Simmons has worn many hats in life, though she’s more of a shoe girl herself.
