I received an eARC of this title through NetGalley in return for an honest review.
This was a really nice graphic novel from Boom! Studios. I love the artwork, it was stunning and popped when it needed to. The art of the supernatural beings was well done. Creepy yet beautiful and fit the art style really well.
As for the story, I thought it was cool and interesting. There was no cut and dry villain until the end. I thought it was great how the story intertwined the present with the past and how each were effected. The characters were each complex and had their own reasons for wanting to be ghost hunters.
I recommend this title for anyone who likes fun, fast paced supernatural ghost stories.
I've been following Bowen for a while online and adore their art style so I was very excited to get my hands on their graphic novel. This graphic novel is GORGEOUS. I love the character designs, the setting, the mood. Its all crafted beautifully. The story was so well laid out and suspenseful. I absolutely recommend this one, go pick up a copy!

I adored this spooky graphic novel so much, it's perfect for the Halloween season. It gives us ghosts and ghouls and demons as well as great characters. I couldn't put it down and the artwork is fantastic!
Specter Inspectors was an awesome Graphic novel. It had Queer rep, a stunning art style that I was obsessed with just from looking at the cover, and a great cast of characters to support it. This is also all the issues bundled up so you get the entire story in one without ever skipping a beat.
Noa, Ko, Gus, and Astrid are ghost hunters, and they're headed to the most haunted town of them all. Noa is a big believer in the paranormal and wants to prove more than anything that it does exist beyond the cheesy fake evidence you see on TV. Together this group is here to uncover secrets and hunt ghosts that have existed for centuries, but they might just get more than they bargained for in the process.
I feel like I cant go anywhere without first talking about the stunning characters we got the opportunity to know throughout the story. Noa is determined, brave and is always looking out for those around. She saw what she wanted and went after it without a second doubt in her mind. She always considered the dangers for her friends before ever even thinking about her safety. Gus, who is also Noa's younger sibling, was Sarcastic as hell and always on the quickdraw for the jokes. Ko from what I saw he is a sweetheart and does anything for the benefit of his friends. Even if he isn't a fierce believer in the paranormal he still jumps at the opportunity to have a good time and be around the people he loves. Astrid was perhaps my favorite of the story. Even in the circumstances she was facing, she still cared fiercely about her friends and was insanely loyal to them. She is brave and caring, and hilarious. This straight up read as a queer Scooby Doo to me, which was a childhood favorite of mine so of course I enjoyed the story all the way through. I honestly really would like to see any adventure these characters went on, because im sure its always going to be a great time.
