Featured Reviews
Though I did somewhat enjoy this book, I found the writing to be a bit repetitive. I was hoping the work would feel a bit deeper and a little more thought out. The story was interesting, but there were parts that felt a bit irrelevant to the story as a whole. I think it could have benefited from a little more time editing and reviewing parts to see if they felt essential or not.
This novel has all the potential to be something meaningful and worthwhile, but often fell short. I found myself trying to relate to Eleanor but neve could, despite being of similar age with similar life experiences. The prose ended up more confusing than helpful, and I questioned the format and layout of the novel more than once while reading. I believe Toy could have benefited from more revisions and thoughts towards the novel as a whole and the message the book was trying to convey.
