Description
Just before their church choir's Christmas party potluck, Stacy learns her former boyfriend, Rob, has broken up with her best friend, whom he was dating. Stacy got over Rob a long time ago, or so she thought. Shouldn't she try to repair her friends' fractured relationship? A love potion recipe she finds in her grandmother's old notebook of magic spells might fix the problem. On the wild chance that it could work, Stacy mixes it into a cookie. But the charm misfires, and now Rob insist he's been in love with her all along. The spell will wear off in seven days—but does she really want it to?

Ultra light, very wholesome Christmas romance where a bit of magic gone awry may be just the push two former flames need to see if there's still a spark between them. This is short and blissfully low-angst, so it can be thoroughly enjoyed as a fun treat. Pick this up for a clean, cute tale about sweet second chances!
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!
I enjoyed this book a lot for a novella and felt that it was the right length for the story. I felt for Stacey and her inner debate about what to do with the Rob situation. It was angsty in a way, which normally I am not a fan of but it was just the right amount and the story kept it's pace well.
A big thank you to NetGalley and Wild Rose Press, Inc for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is a very short novella (45 pages). I liked the title, the story was okay. Not my thing-I found Stacy to be annoying. She didn't want to believe Rob. 2.5 stars I will try the recipe though.
Chocolate Chip Charm is short novella in the Christmas Cookies series of books.
There was not a lot in this book that would make me want to read a longer version of the story. It was an OK novella that had a bit of magic that did not go the way Stacey thought it would.
I enjoyed it for a quick break in my day to read this novella.
Thank you NetGalley and The Wild Rose Press, Inc for the book. This is my personal review.
