Description
Twice-widowed Jane Marsh ties the knot for the third time with longstanding fiancé Dale Capricorn. Jane's ready for a celebratory reception at her uber-trendy condo in downtown Denver with champagne toasts, fancy dress, and her family and dinner club friends. Everyone knows she and Dale's prettier and younger ex-wife Polly are "frenemies," but Jane starts fresh and asks Polly to cater the event. However, after the last guest leaves, Jane discovers the ex-wife dead—and Jane's the obvious suspect. If Jane doesn't find the real killer, her third marriage certainly won't be the charm.

Good book! This book was a good murder mystery with a little bit of a light side to it! But it did have suspense, intrigue, murder and a good who done it! It was a light feel good mystery! I will recommend reading this book! It was worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
Jane and Dale faced the first murder of their married life, and wouldn'tcha know it happened to be his ex-wife? And of course, Jane was high on the suspect list if not the only suspect at the moment. It was fun to see them actually sleuthing together. Hey, the family that sleuths together stays together, right?
I liked that the dinner club got a couple new members, and a couple of older members had a nice surprise in store as did one of Jane's sons and his wife. There was someone in the storyline that I just didn't trust, and it turned out I was smart not to. The showdown was right out of an action movie, and the perp got what they had coming.
The ending was good and sort of wrapped up the entire series. I'm guessing the author did purposely end it because it was a really nice send-off. I know she's got another series in the works. What I loved about this one was the camaraderie of the dinner club folks. They might not always get along, but they've always got each others' backs.
Wasted Thyme by Karen C. Whalen is the 7th book in the Dinner Club Murder Mysteries, and another fun addition. I am a Colorado native, so I loved the location of this book. Jane, who has been widowed two times, marries her long time boyfriend Dale Capicorn. Jane even declared a truce with Dale's ex wife to cater the event. When Jane finds the ex wife's body, Dale becomes the main suspect, so Jane must clear his name. This book has more twists and turns, that kept me reading page after page. I found this book to be a quick read, with a well developed plot and characters. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. If you love cozy mysteries, I strongly recommend this book/series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This is ongoing series and is a nice distraction from heavier, more serious mysteries. While I wouldn't quite call it a cozy, it is light and the mystery aspect is easy to figure out but again....its a nice, light, easy read. Thank you NetGalley for the advanced readers copy for review.
Quick fun read. Haven't read any in the series but now I'll have to go and remedy that. Enjoyed all the red herrings that kept my interest piqued. Thanks #netgalley and #TheWildRosePressInc for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.
This is book 7 in the Dinner Club Murder Mystery series. It can be read as a stand alone, I have not read the previous books. Jane and Dale are celebrating their marriage when Dale's ex wife ends up dead in their apartment. Jane is the main suspect and she and her Murder Club friends work hard before Jane is convicted and sent to prison. It seems someone is setting Jane up to take the fall and the suspects are numerous. A good quick read.
