Description

Cops are bad news for werewolves!

Cops can smell trouble. When you’re a werewolf like Sara Flores, you do your best to avoid them because they can sense something different about you. It makes them curious. Makes them want to investigate you. This is a problem for Sara — because she’s after a man who works with the police.

Since her turning, Sara has used her new abilities to rescue those being abused by evil people. Cops would call her a vigilante — something they hate as much or more than criminals.

Sara smelled evil from the man she’s after. She’s seen the bodies. She knows he has protection from at least one high-level officer. Finding proof, however, is turning out to be much harder.

Sara decides to risk everything on one big raid. Even though innocent women are at risk. Even though cops are on her trail. Even though it’s critical that nobody learn what she is.

Unfortunately, Sara has no idea just how big a stink she’s sticking her nose into. But she’s about to find out.

"Perfect for readers who enjoy shorter adventures and who are fans of Faith Hunter's Jane Yellowrock series and Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series, without the smexy times. I look forward to reading Sara Flores' next adventure.” -- MJ Silversmith, Discovery

"This is a refreshingly original take on the werewolf mythos. Sue Denver has written a fascinating character in Sara. She reminds me of Jane Yellowrock from Faith Hunter's series, and in all the right ways: strong, aloof, in control of herself (until she isn't), mysterious, and a loner. Shifting is dealt with as a practical reality rather than magic and sparkles, and I'm down with that."" -- International Review of Books"

The Stench of Fear is another great addition to the A WolfLady Paranormal Adventure. Sara is back and this time she is taking a class to get her Private Investigator license. Gotta find a way to keep the suspicions down especially if cops keep finding her in the vicinity of dead bodies. The class is interesting but boring until a simple class assignment sets off her senses. More like her nose. Sara smelled something not quite right and now is out to find out what it is.

I really like Sara and find some of the situations she ends up in on the comical DOH! side. She makes some new friends in this book while she investigates a possible bad person. Mason’s back (YAY!) and proves that keeping him around was a good decision. Her nose was right and she’s off to discover his secrets with a little unexpected help. LOL!!! Even though this was a quick read, it still has enough suspense and intrigue to keep my hooked. This is such a fun series! Can’t wait for the next book.
