Description
The three-volume series follows triplet Millennial sea otters as they navigate and struggle with jobs, purpose, and feeling fulfilled. All three volumes are written in a lyrical rhyming style, eight syllables per line.
Volume 1 focuses on Oughta Otter, an academic star who has never failed in her life. To guarantee her continued success, she craves the support and wisdom of a powerful mentor, lands a job with a tech entrepreneur, but struggles when her values don't align with her work. She aimlessly drifts, makes additional (even criminall) mistakes, and hits her own rock bottom. Will she ever gain the wisdom and courage she needs to leave her mark?
Volume 2 focuses on Boughta Otter, a social butterfly and budding social media influencer who desires fame, fortune, and all the joy she expects comes from living a popular influencer's lifestyle. After experiencing fantastic success in her chosen field and launching a new venture to expand her influencing empire, she spends a quarantined period living with and among financially poor but joyful and appreciative otters. How can those down on their luck change this influencer's life?
Volume 3 focuses on Shotta Otter, a compassionate and giving otter who always puts others first. She works as a nurse straight out of college and courageously nurses others back to health in pandemic hotspots when a virus rages through the animal community. Eventually, she reaches her breaking point and leaves the profession when she's burned out. What happens when her desire to put others first is threatened by incentives that might leave otters far behind?
