The hedgehog has a costume designer. The meet cute involves a casket. And supportive friends are always close by with a rom-com cued up and a new cocktail recipe to try. A perfect fit for readers looking for a brisk and buoyant love story with plenty of ha-ha’s, and no shortage of heart.

Absolutely loved this book by one of my favorite authors. Kat and Mick are great characters with the added bonus of a pet hedgehog. I highly recommend this one.
Kat and Mick meet at a funeral home owned by his family when she’s delivering flowers for the deceased. After a near disaster is averted she realizes there is immediate chemistry between her and Mick but after many dating disasters she’s decided following her heart never works. She tells Mick she wants to be friends as she searches for Mr. Right and he reluctantly agrees. After they get to know one another Kat realizes that Mick is who she’s looking for but is she willing to risk it and find her one and only?

I loved this! It is a slow burn friends to lovers with all the tension and chemistry you expect from a great slow burn rom-com. The meet-cute is unforgettable and probably raknes up in the top 2 meet-cutes I've read. This book is perfect!! I just reviewed Too Wrong to Be Right by Melonie Johnson. #NetGalley

Well… I know I just posted about starting this book but I’ve already finished it! I think it may be on of my favorite contemporary romance books of the year (and it haven’t even come out yet…so I guess it’s my favorite contemporary romance as of 02/28/23!!!🤩) There is just SO much characterization that you grow to love the characters so quickly!!! They all have different aspects of their personalities and lives that make them more 3D characters! I read this book like I was breathing air!!! I couldn’t put it down! Let’s just say… I enjoyed this book so much that I literally had a dream about me playing a rhyming game and responding to something with the word “cockatoo” (shoutout to Seamus…iykyk😉). If there’s one thing I can do, it’s definitely not wait for this book to come out in February!!!🥳🥳
