Playing The Long Game

Having lost her business to the COVID-19 pandemic shut downs, her father to cancer, displaced and harassed (along with her fellow building tenants) by her landlord trying to evict and sell her building in the pandemic, and then losing her physical health and cognitive abilities to Long COVID all within 18 months, Laura had every reason to feel hopeless. With no treatment or resolution for Long COVID, a condition that impacts millions in America and many millions more worldwide, Laura was slowly losing everything because of it. Unable to work or qualify for disability or unemployment, her life was unraveling. She was struggling to be able to function for an hour or two a day, was all but confined to an apartment she was at risk of losing, and spent all her efforts trying to manage her physical symptoms. While supportive medical personnel encouraged and supported her, nothing was truly working. She was doing everything she could think of to improve her condition but it wasn't enough. With no options she decided to try to at least alleviate her symptoms enough to be able to start earning income again.

Within two months she had stopped backsliding, improved dramatically, and was able to start functioning in the world again and all without drugs, costly programs, insurance approval, mountains of paperwork, or research programs.

This is what she did.
