Description
Three knucklehead environmentalists had a plan: ransom the girl and free the trees, but things didn't quite work out that way. Her father is unreachable, dodging subpoenas about his hedge fund. Her badass boyfriend is on the hunt. One of the environmentalists secretly prefers a Ferrari over a Prius. Then there's the heiress herself, held prisoner deep in a dense forest near Seattle. She's tougher, smarter and more tenacious than anyone expected, demanding freshly brewed espresso, flirtatiously pitting her kidnappers against each other and making maps of the area on a dog-eared Greenpeace flyer. When she makes her break for freedom, the green dream turns into a nightmare.
Advance Praise
I never miss a book by Robert Ferrigno
--Michael Connelly, New York Times bestselling author of The Black Box
Prayers for the Assassin is one of those rare books that both educates and entertains. It will make you stop and question everything you take for granted. I literally couldn't put it down.
--Vince Flynn, New York Times bestselling author of The Last Man
Ferrigno's "Assassin" trilogy was his response to a simple question he posed in the early days of the post-9/11 era: "What if it's a long war?" In a short war, bet on technology--smart bombs and unmanned drones. In a long war--bet on will--or as the novelist puts it, "it's the spiritual strength of the combatants that matters."
--Mark Steyn, New York Times bestselling author of After America: Get Ready for Armageddon
In an epic thriller, The Girl Who Cried Wolf delivers a comedic, thrill-a-minute ride.
--Ken Coffman, Amazon bestselling author of Fairhaven and Endangered Species
What is distinctive
about Ferrigno's gripping action is that it is often set in a natural world
whose appeal he makes the reader vividly feel.
--New York Times
Kinky-to-the-max. Ferrigno can make you afraid, he can make you laugh, and he
can make you keep turning the pages.
--The Washington Post Book World
Ferrigno has a gift for creating confrontations of high impact and his dialogue
bites hard. He balances the tough doings with a strong sense of moral outrage
and compassion.
--Los Angeles Times Book Review
An awesomely good writer.
--Elmore Leonard
