I quite liked this a lot. I enjoyed that each chapter was based on a different animal and I loved how the author wrote in the irony that was specific to that animal. From a adult perspective it was humorous at times, but often there was the feeling of sadness that was layered in with the comedic writing..

It personifies these animals that us humans often choose to ignore (as a defense mechanism in my opinion) because it makes it easier to destroy the animals lives (and many times the species longevity) when we can act like they aren't a real organism.

It's a easy read, but also a deeper meaning read at the same time. I think people of all ages would benefit from reading this book because it summarizes how human beings are ruining our animal kingdom.
