Description
Tradition can really put a damper on wanderlust.
Ember has come of seelie age, however, the spirited heir of the Spring Fae Court hasn't chosen a mate yet. Per the court's ancient custom, it's time for her to run the Springfest Sprint! The males are ready to claim their mates, and many have their sights on the elusive princess. But she's got a plan...
Hide until this nonsense is over.
It's not foolproof or typical of the feisty fae, but it’s better than getting bound to a terrible kisser, a pompous bragger, or really… anyone. When she runs into a male who ruins her hiding spot, she has to decide if he's an enemy or ally.
A Note From the Publisher
ABOUT GEORGIE:
Georgie Monroe is an author of sassy erotica romance. Born on the southern east coast, she's a firm believer that mac and cheese solves nearly any problem and that spring weather means the day's outfit will consist of seven layers. She's terribly optimistic and will douse anyone around her in "it's going to work out" sparkles. And she loves to write all the juicy parts of relationships between a variety of people so that her readers can enjoy stepping into the lives of fun, sexy, and sometimes highly flawed people who deserve a well-earned happily ever after.
Advance Praise
Fantasy isn't my first choice—I'm a boring, ol' modernday romance reader—but this vella has got me hooked. The event the vella is named after is exciting and fast paced and so well written, I get lost in the story. When the two main characters meet, I am as enthralled with them as they are with each other. This story is imaginative and interesting and I'm buying every detail about this world the author is selling.

Consider me a fan! After the blurb caught my attention I knew it would an interesting read. However, I was blown away by the loveable and sassy characters and the impressive world building packed into this small novella. For lovers of everything Fae, I’d say this is definitely a must read, as it gives a refreshing new take on Fae-lore. The main characters, Ember, Ty(phon) and Donovan have already captured my head in just a few pages - consider the hunt successful ;) - and the way Ember and Typhon interact is so much fun to read! I simply can’t get enough of them.
The story felt a little rushed at times, yet in such a small format the pace of the narrative is still very clever, impactful and keeps you entertained till the very last page. Which is impressive considering the size of the novella!
Springtime Sprint is definitely the novella to pick up for a short and entertaining read. Fair warning tho: It will leave you wanting more!
One thing is for sure, I’m hooked to the authors books now and can’t wait to see more of this world ✨
Thank you Netgalley for the Arc, I loved every minute of it!
I grabbed this because the cover is absolutely stunning. I’m really loving the heavy Fae and Fairy presence on fantasy lately. I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting much from a short story but this book delivered sealed with a kiss!
Great characters who give a lot of backstory without any backstory. Fun relatable and loveable characters all around. The story is listed as erotica but I would say leans much heavier to romance. It’s a great book with a strong emphasis on respect and consent.
The spice was stunning and not over the top and the scenes and visuals are beautiful. I would really be interested in seeing this turned into a series (which it looks like it will be) I would definitely read more. Fantasy readers don’t pass up this book!
Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for my advanced readers copy of the Springfest Sprint by Georgie Monroe.
Content Warnings: forced bonding/mating event and sexual descriptions
A dark romance about a spring seelie and an unseelie who find each other in a chaotic way. This romance was so steamy! This was a very quick read with an intriguing story. It was a very good mix of plot and spice. The plot was very well written and it wasn’t over shadowed by the spice, like some dark romances tend to be. My only complaint is that I wish the story was longer! I wish the two main characters had a little more time to get to know each other. Overall I enjoyed it so much I might have to reread immediately!
I would recommend this book to those who like a story along with their spice.
