Eight hundred years ago, the Sorcerer Guy of Gisborne from Prince John’s court planted a trap in a last attempt to capture Robin Hood, but the curse laid on the Golden Arrow backfired, releasing a burst of pure magic energy into the outlaw. As the generations passed, this power weakened more and more, splitting among Robin Hood’s descendants to manifest in the form of elemental powers. The eleven strongest among these Rangerians are known as True Borns, born with the pure elements split from the Earth, the Sky, and the Sea.

AFTER YEARS OF SILENCE, three Wind Rangerians have gone missing in just the last three months, leaving Jackson as the last True Born Wind Rangerian standing. On the night his power Manifests, his home court Fort Calmier is attacked by the Ealdra, a rival nation of descendants who take the throne and seem to have something bigger planned. Realizing the Ealdra and the rogue Sheriff have come to claim the last Wind, Jackson flees. The Ealdra have found something, a secret weapon they need the four Winds to claim.

With his Master murdered and a traitor among his trusted friends, Jackson is on the run, fleeing Hunters, sorcerers, and a mysterious girl of the shadows while he struggles to control the roling North Wind inside him. Jackson must learn to harness his power and step into his role as Guardian of the North, but the question remains, How far is he willing to go to protect his nation?
