Advance Praise

"Each of Jamie Lackey's short stories in "Shadows on Glass" is diamond-sharp, glittering, gorgeous, and brilliant. Her fiction plumbs love and loss, the weirdness of families, and the beauty and eeriness of the world. Lackey's stories are filled with sly characters and ideas, from a Magic 8 Ball that can actually tell the future to a storm cloud that becomes a girl's best friend. Lackey is a magician of the short story." Nebula Award nominated author Aimee Picchi

"Inventive. Impossible. Oh-so human. Jamie Lackey's fantasies—these weird tales—are dark, and singular, and deeper than might immediately meet the eye. Driving at the crux of what keeps us human or. casts us into outer darkness. A word or phrase that ripples with life and blooms into the imagination. A swirl of darkness, romance, the strange and the terrible, that stirs the pot of the soul." Stoker Award nominated author Douglas Gwilym
