Description
"Secrets are everywhere in this sparkling narrative that moves like a Japanese bullet train." —First Clue
A mind-bending, psychological thriller from the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of The Housemaid!
Lesson #1: trust no one
Eve has a good life. She gets up each day, gets a kiss from her husband Nate, and heads off to teach math at the local high school. All is as it should be. Except…
Last year, Caseham High was rocked by a scandal, with one student, Addie, at its center. And this year, Eve is dismayed to find the girl in her class.
Addie can't be trusted. She lies. She hurts people. She destroys lives. At least, that's what everyone says.
But nobody knows the real Addie. Nobody knows the secrets that could destroy her. And Addie will do anything to keep it quiet.
From the New York Times bestselling author Freida McFadden comes a story of twisting secrets and long-awaited revenge.
Advance Praise
"The superb latest from McFadden...a series of jaw-dropping twists that recast the power dynamic between her central trio over and over again. The frequent rug-pulling will thrill readers who’ve initially pinned the story as run-of-the-mill domestic suspense. [The Teacher] rivets."

Queen Freida has done it again!! In my opinion, this is her best book yet. I think she does an excellent job in making you feel uncomfortable, but in a good way. Her use of different personas for each character was fascinating to me and I frequently found myself thinking about this book when I wasn't reading it. This will be a book that I recommend to everyone to read. Whether you enjoy mysteries, thrillers, romance, this book is for everyone and I don't hesitate one bit to give it 5*s!
I could not put this suspenseful, psychological thriller down. _The Teacher_ mostly follows Eve, a married high school math teacher, and Addie, a teenage student coping with trauma and alienation from her fellow classmates. Eve has been warned that Addie could not be trusted, and reiterated the same to her husband, a teacher at the same school. Inappropriate conduct soon occurs, and the twists and turns in this book will leave the reader at least with a feeling of unease, a success for a psychological thriller.
This is the third Freida McFadden book I've read and my favorite so far. An addictive page-turner. Here, the twists and plot points seemed less random than in some of the other books, so they landed much better. Fun vacation/weekend/1-2 sitting read!
