Description

When a heartbroken violist is photographed with the Prince of Wales the night before his brother abdicates the throne, their wild one night stand becomes a royal engagement.

Prince Arthur of Wales, younger brother of the current King of England, never believed he'd inherit the throne. He'd been groomed to make his older brother and his family look good, not to stand out.

That all changes while on a trip to New York City to present at a charity gala. His co-presenter, Lucy Almont, who owns a failing charity and was recently dumped by her fiancé, meet by chance at a restaurant after the awards. Both in need of cheering up.

After spending a steamy night with Lucy, Archie learns his older brother's troubles have reached the news and instead of standing tall, he has abdicated the throne.

To Archie.

Worst of all, the future king was photographed by the Paparazzi at a bar with a woman wearing an engagement ring. The Royal news is a flutter with a royal marriage.

Archie's grandmother has indicated in no uncertain terms that he must marry the American charity owner in order to save face. There can be no more scandal. Archie offers to help expand her charity work and provide her opportunities to grow it if she'll become the next Queen Consort.

Will Archie and Lucy be able to convince the public that their love is real, or will their farce come to light and ruin them both?

When a heartbroken violist is photographed with the Prince of Wales the night before his brother abdicates the throne, their wild one night stand becomes a royal engagement.

“You are my home. You are my forever. I love you.”

the story ‘her royal highness’ portrays an enticing blend of both romance and humour but there is also some creative unexpected twists in this story. this has a combined plot of a one-night-stand turned into a royal engagement, this story provides a delightful read.

the story’s main character, Lucy, is extremely relatable and such a down to earth character that always puts people before herself. Lucy is trying to find her path again after a scandalous breakup. On the other hand, Prince Arthur who never expected to inherit the title ‘King’ adds plenty of twists into the story such as - being someone willing to receive punishment and sacrifices things for the one he loves.

the book touches on themes of - public perception, small amounts of grief, love and duty. Both Archie and Lucy are trying to work around the challenges of their romantic interests of each other. Overall, this book was super enticing and I really enjoyed the humour and romance, making it a fun royal read. Would totally recommend.

"Her Royal Highness" by AJ Arnault presents an enticing blend of romance, humor, and the unexpected twist of a commoner finding herself suddenly thrust into the world of royalty. With a plot that combines a one-night stand turned royal engagement, this book offers readers a delightful and engaging premise.

The story's protagonist, Lucy Almont, provides a relatable and down-to-earth character who owns a struggling charity and is trying to find her footing after a recent breakup. On the other hand, Prince Arthur, who never expected to inherit the throne, adds depth to the narrative with his transformation from a reluctant royal into someone willing to embrace his responsibilities for the sake of love.

The combination of romance and humor in this story is likely to appeal to fans of the genre. The idea of an American charity owner becoming the Queen Consort of England adds an intriguing layer of fish-out-of-water dynamics and cultural clashes that promise both comedy and drama.

The book also touches on themes of public perception, love, and duty, making it more than just a lighthearted romance. As Archie and Lucy navigate the challenges of their newfound royal status and try to convince the world that their love is genuine, readers may find themselves rooting for their relationship.
Overall, "Her Royal Highness" seems like a charming and engaging romantic story that combines the allure of royalty with the relatability of ordinary life. With the potential for humor, drama, and heartfelt moments, it appears to be a promising read for those who enjoy contemporary romance novels with a royal twist.

Lighthearted, funny and absolutely wonderful. I didn't want to put it down and was so sad when I reached the end. I loved how Archie and Lucy learned to communicate and were always in one another's corners. You never doubted their love for each other and the way they built each other up. I also loved the way in which the media was portrayed and how Lucy recognized that she shouldn't have to make herself smaller to be what other people needed her to be. I will definitely be back for Royally Flush #2.

Lighthearted and entertaining romcom, if you leave aside the facts and reality check. I enjoyed it. Loved how the pacing was fast enough and how their relationship kinda happened really fast, and I was so intrigued by how their relationship would pan out that at times I even forgot to annotate it. Plus, heroine was very relatable. She's the mood.

I loved this book sooo much! I honestly think it might be my favorite romance read of 2023. Lucy was such a fun FMC. I typically like the MMC more in romance novels but Lucy is one of my favorite characters ever. I feel like in books where the male lead is famous, the female lead tends to be very down on herself, but I didn't feel like Lucy was that way at all. She had her flaws, but she wasn't constantly nagging herself about them, which I liked. I also loved that the book got straight into the action. There wasn't chapter upon chapter of useless information and the author got straight into the characters and their relationship, which I loved. This was such a fun book!
