Description

Step on up. Step on up. Look into the funhouse mirrors inspired by the Buffy the Vampire Slayer universe. Malinowski delves into body image and explores how it twists and transforms romance. Who is the vampire? Who is the demon? And who turns to dust? Gabby Gilliam's illustrations pop and translate the words on the page into energy. As a Buffy the Vampire slayer super fan, I just had to read this collection of poetry. The poetry itself deals with questions of body image and romance, and it is an excellent blend of known characters and imagery from the cult classic Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as well as fun house mirrors.

Included throughout the collection is an incredible selection of artwork from Gabby Gilliam, that really brings the poetry to another level.

This collection of poetry is perfect for that very niche group of individuals that enjoy both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and poetry, and I highly recommend you give this a shot if that sounds like you.

Big thanks to Netgalley, Querencia Press, and the author Kim Malinowski, for allowing me to read a copy of this E-Arc.
