Description
The teenage years are notoriously the worst—full of the pressure to make the right friends, wear the right clothes, and say the right things. Conformity may be fine in moderation, but when the desire to fit in turns into an obsession, the downward spiral begins. And unless it is stopped, it leads directly to the grave. The second book of the Faces Behind The Stone series, Bad Choices, chronicles the events that led to the deaths of the several teens who elect to tell their respective stories about their struggles to find themselves in a world of pressure and conformity.
In the chilling Bad Choices, several teenage souls tell their stories from the grave. They seek to share the choices that led to their premature deaths, hoping to prevent such deaths from happening to others. Some teens are in the wrong place at the wrong time. In other cases, popularity turns to obsession and takes lives. Others get involved with drugs and alcohol; some buckle under the weight of unrealistic expectations. The desire for power and revenge takes another few lives. Bad Choices compels both parents and peers of troubled teens to reach out and offer help before bad choices lead to death.
Bad Choices engrosses the reader with six stunning narratives. Each character tells his or her story in earnest, begging the readers to take a second look at their own lives and those close to them. In addition, an appendix provides information for the parents of teenagers suffering from depression and anger issues. May they be concerned parents with troubled teens, struggling teens with their own troubles, or teens with troubled friends, readers will be left with a fervent desire to make sure the tragic stories of these characters were not told in vain.
