Absolutely awesome, made me cry, smile and want to keep reading. So thought-provoking I wanted to go to the last chapter to see if what I was speculating what was going to happen... It did not, but the imagery was awesome and the journey compassionate. Good writing should leave question(s) in the readers' mind, not only does Author Conway do that, but surprises you with the outcome. This book flowed so nicely, the story was peaceful and made you imagine spiritual stories of ancient times with unique twists. You could feel the poignancy of the characters and the conclusion will make you cry, for you feel the love and loss. I received the book as a gift to read, and so glad read it. I could not stop reading, was an excellent slice of time in doing so! Mr. Conway, you should take a bow, because this was an excellent short story so filled with love, nostalgia and hope.

As December is 17 minutes away as I write, I'm getting in the mood for the holidays ahead. DP Conway's Starry Night reminds me of the stories my Dad would tell during the nights leading up to Christmas. Full of wonder, full of life's important questions - the ones that pull out big ponder sessions, ones that beg for further discussion rather than quick, pert answers.
Warm fuzzies, and a spirit of hopeful anticipation fill me for the season ahead in exchange for the time I've spent with Jessie and the "lost" Marco out there in the Universe.
*A sincere thank you to DP Conway, BooksGoSocialAudio, and NetGalley for an ARC to read and independently review.* #StarryNightNotAllWhoWanderareLost #NetGalley
This one in the series hit me hard. I just lost my mom and I related to this story. No it is not them but just the beginning. Perfect timing. I wonder if my mom is looking down at me watching.
I love this beautiful cover. The narration was amazing and made this story everything. So this one had me in happy tears. For such a short story it was packed with so much emotion. I loved it and cannot wait to read more by this author. Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial Audio for the arc in exchange for my honest review.
Very nice, heart warming holiday Story. Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook
Starry Night: Not All Who Wander Are Lost is a short story/novella by DP Conway. This tale was so intricate that I don’t even know where to begin or end, as to not give any spoilers.
The protagonist wakes up one day to find himself in an unexpected place and surrounded by unexpected people. He slowly gets to know them and their ways, and decides to join their group, as he seems to have some form of amnesia.
More slowly reveals itself to him, and allows for him to make important choices.
It was a touching tale of how sometimes things happen for all of the right reasons, and sometimes what seems to be the end is actually just the beginning of something wonderful.
Thank you so much to NetGalley for this audio ARC!!
At first I was confused. Stick with the story! It is one of the most heartfelt stories ever! Pulls at those heartstrings hard! I loved how the Author personalized the story and explained the significance. I was completely surprised with the ending. Great story to share with your family. It 5teaches a great lesson too!
A quick audio book, reminiscent of Dickens and very unique. An injured man, who can’t remember who he is, encounters shepherds and joins them in their search for the lost sleep and his memory. Guided by a star, their journey has them encountering wisemen, angels, and finding that lost sheep. A sweet and unique Christmas story.
I want to thank Netgalley for letting me read this
I listened to this by audiobook and I thought it was a lovely story, about an adventure in the night though loss of one's identity in death but then finding themselves again, the Christmas theme was nice. The ending of reuniting with loved ones after death was beautiful and I was so happy he had his home with them all in, reminded me of what my step mother use to say- heaven has a home waiting for u with all ur family and pets waiting for u.
This is a short story about an injured man who was found by shepherds. He doesn't know who he is. They tend to his injuries and he stays with them, on their journey. When a sheep goes lost, the man and his shepard friend pair up to look for the lost sheep. When the lost sheep is found, there is also a surprise. This book can be read and enjoyed by anyone.
I listened to the audio version. The narrator was excellent.
Thank you BooksGoSocial Audio for accepting my request to audibly read and review Starry Night: Not All Who Wander are Lost.
Narrator: Randy Hames
This is a smart, thought-provoking short story (see the synopsis). The ending did not disappoint.
Please note, this is a Sci Fi -- Fantasy genre story; I would encourage the author to write more.
The narrator was just okay; I didn't connect with him.
Book Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Narration: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A short story about an injured man aided by a group of shepherds in search of a lost sheep. This was an easy short listen, at just one hour long. A heartwarming listen to cleanse your palate between books to get you in the holiday spirit. I also found the narration to be wonderful. I could imagine wrapped up by a cozy fire being read to by a grandparent, which was perfect in setting the tone for the story. Thank you, NetGalley, and BooksGoSocial for the opportunity to listen and review this wonderful audiobook.

Inspiring short story. Perfect to get someone in the true spirit of Christmas and finding a purpose.
Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial Audio for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook.
This novella is part of D.P. Conway’s five-book Christmas Collection series. It is not the usual seasonal story in the sense that Christmas as we know it only appears at the end. This story nonetheless captures the essence of the original Christmas story that promises hope, light and personal renewal. It is a fable about an injured young man with amnesia and the dream-like journey he undertakes that brings him truly ‘home.’. Loss, love, healing and reconciliation are all highlighted in a heartwarming way that doesn’t need to bring in overt Christmas references because they are ultimately what Christmas is about. A comforting listen for a winter’s night.
I enjoyed Starry Night: Not all Who Wander are Lost.
Ernest has not idea who he is or where he is from. He comes across a group of shepherds that take him into their group. They get a message from an angels that a sheep is lost. The group sets out to find it. Jessie takes who they call Marcus (Ernest) with him.
Jessie takes Marcus through the woods and come up to a neighborhood he recognizes. Once inside, Marcus realizes it is his sister's house and that his name is Ernest. He still doesn't know who he is. This is also when Ernest remembers he died. The second house Jessie takes Ernest to is where all of his dead relatives are waiting on him. He is reunited with his dad and grandmother.
The power of the Starry Night is what brought Ernest home to where he belongs.
I am glad I requested the audiobook on NetGalley of Starry Night: Not All Who Wander are Lost.
Lovely novella with a beautiful message. I can see how this could have been developed a little more, but at the same time not all stories have to cover a variety of scenes.
The narrator was good and this is part of a series, so curious to see how this will compare to the others.
Sweet storyline. Brings me back to the days of the three kings visiting baby Jesus...
This is a novella that gives insight into what may happen in Heaven...
Only about an hour long.
We open with a man found on the ground, unconscious, by a shepherd. He is brought into the 'flock' and found to be hurt...and bandaged up. He then travels with the shepherd...and begins to see parts of his life thru a new lens...
Beautiful storyline, and sweet characters. May be a good thing to read if you have recently lost a loved one...
Thanks to #NetGalley and #BooksGoSocialAudio for an ARC of the audiobook, although I see a release date of 2021...so not sure...maybe this is for the audio release?

Happy Reading!! 📖📚
This is a quick and entertaining Christmas short story. I’m not religious so maybe not the target audience for this, but it was still a nice enough story to listen to.
Randy Hames did a good job narrating the audiobook.
Thank you D.P. Conway, BooksGoSocial, and NetGalley for providing this ALC for review consideration. All opinions expressed are my own.
A very quick audiobook, the narration was relaxing and simple.
Randy wakes up injured and unsure where he is, but is welcomed by a kind Shepard who guides him along. Deeper lessons of life are explored as Randy journeys to find his home, and the sweet story focuses on larger meanings associated with Christmas.
Overall: 4 stars
I'll tell my students about: religion, death, trauma/mental health
**Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial Audio for the free ALC. All opinions expressed are my own.**
With Randy Haynes setting the perfect tone for this Christmas story we hear about a man who wakes injured not knowing who he is and after coming up on a group of shepherds he travels with them and enjoys it not only that the shepherds have a surprise in store before it’s over Marco for lack of knowing his name sees a familiar house. This is all I’m going to say I really enjoyed this book the end was unexpected and sweet and I liked it so much I am mediately pause the book and went and download it another by this author it was a short story may be a little over an hour but so worth reading I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend that if you love sweet clean magical Christmas stories you were probably enjoyed this one I know I did.
