"Isle of Dragons: The Ruler of Vansh" is the exciting conclusion to the trilogy. This book follows young heroes, dragons, and machines on a spectacular island journey that I thoroughly enjoyed.
I have to admit; I'm not usually a fan of steampunk, but the way it's blended with fantasy in this book is spot on. The mix of these two genres created a unique atmosphere that appealed to my love for fantasy without overwhelming me with steampunk elements.
4.0 / 5.0
Isle of Dragons: The Ruler of Vansh is the final book on the Isle of Dragons trilogy. This steampunk fantasy is fun, well paced, and full of interesting characters that are well written. Towards the end, I think the pacing could have slowed a bit and given more body to the events, but overall it was enjoyable.

The Ruler of Vansh made an exciting finale for the Isle of Dragons series. It follows Jade Sol and her friends as they come together to face the final battle against their rival and save the world. The characters really came to life and felt realistic and personal, and the plot kept me interested from the first few pages. The pacing was good, and I enjoyed the unique steampunk aspects that were added - not something I've seen before in fantasy, but very well done here. I would highly recommend this series to fans of How to Train Your Dragon and His Dark Materials.
The way this book describes the surrounding environment and its buildings is amazing! I could feel like I was inside that world! The sacrifices all the characters had to make kept me on the edge of my seat! Complete with dragons and action packed this is definitely a book to pick up!
Once I realized I had the third book in the series, I went a bought the first two! In a time where Fourth Wing brings dragon stories to the forefront, this is a great time to have a completed series readers can tear through.
The use of dragons & magic in this world is amazing, it was well thought out and since I didn't realize it was a the third book in the Isle of Dragons series I need to go back and read the other two. . The characters were perfect for this setting and made me enjoy them. I am now going back to download the previous two books. The world this book takes place in is everything. Definitely a must read!

With the gateway between the spirit realm and human realm now open, King Jarrod is now making plans to fulfill the prophecy to kill the earth spirit. Jade must uncover the truth about the prophecy and destroy the final stone to reverse the damage done to the Isle before it spreads to the rest of the world. This is the third and final book in the Isle of Dragons series. I enjoyed the first 2 books and this also meets my expectations.
This was an amazing conclusion to a great trilogy. I loved all the adventures, drama, dragons, witches and an ending that was perfect!! This was a 5 star read and I can't wait to read more by L.A. Thompson
