After a painful separation from her husband of almost twenty years, Trina has little to look ahead so she goes back to hometown where she has escaped her whole life. But home is no longer the same.

Mom is sober. Instead of bottles, she is busy with doughs. Trina ends up taking over the bakery business. She’ll do anything for the aroma of a cupcake and mom’s company. 

Pete gets more than his shoulder shoveled when Trina hits him with a stick. The new neighbor catches his eyes immediately. Not only is she criminally attractive, but she is literally involved in a fatal car accident two decades ago.
