Ok not only was this so stinking cute, but a mystery of a cake theif that teaches kids about color theory! This was such a colorful children’s book. The illustrations were perfect!
This was an adorable little picture book. A very fun and entertaining story, with some very colourful characters (literally) and super cute illustrations. It was a quick read that brought a little smile to my face, and I think children will love it.

What a unique, fun and engaging book! We absolutely loved the story, the illustrations, and the detective component of the story that engaged the kids in helping to figure out who stole the cake. It was the perfect length and was really creative. I couldn't recommend this one more!

Beautiful illustrations to accompany and easy to read/understand book. It was a wonderful way to learn colors and a little bit of color theory. Great for parents to read to young children to continue their learning journey.
From the minute I saw the cover, I knew I had to get this book for my kids! The artwork is so eye catching all the way through and it was a fun little who-done-it that uses critical thinking skills, not to mention the fun crayon names a long the way and a surprise lesson in color mixing! I loved this book!
This was an AMAZING kids detective story for young kids. It reads very similar to Agent Lion. The illustrations are fun and really add depth to the story. LOVED IT!

Colorful. Imaginative. Sweet. Educational.
Pretty Pink crayon is in trouble, and Stan is on a mission to help solve the case of Mellow Yellow’s stolen birthday cake.
Stan puts his detective skills to work, exploring clues and interviewing a cast of colorful characters. The illustrations are so adorable and inviting, and the progression of the story exercises imagination and critical thinking skills.
The final page has a nice little chart of what happens when you blend colors, perfect for all little budding artists.
This book is perfect for Art Teachers, School Libraries and in the home. Likely appealing most to children ages 2-6. And adult children like myself ☺️

This was a cute, fun and quick read. My toddler was very interested in this book while reading and was very upset that the birthday cake went missing.. "Oh no! Where did it go?!" We would definitely check out other books from this author based on our experience with this one book.
