I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook.
This book has tons of recipe ideas for grain free recipes. The recipes seem easy to follow. The very beginning there are a bunch of nut butter recipes that look really good!
This is a great cookbook for somehow seeking low-carb recipes. Just be careful -- low carb is definitely different than low calorie. All of these recipes deliver on its low carb promise, but some are very high calorie.
My favorite sections were the "work snacks" and "road trip snacks" sections!
I really enjoyed looking through this cookbook! So many great recipes. I look forward to making many of them for my son and I. I am always looking for low carb snacks and this was perfect for my busy life.
I’m always looking for new low carb recipes to try. This cookbook is exactly what I needed. Very excited to try more of these out
I am always looking for some recipes for low-carb snacks. I found some recipes that I cannot wait to try out. This book would be perfect for anyone who wants to learn some low carb snacks.
This is a great recipe book for people who are eating keto or are following a low carb diet. It includes over 70 different recipes that look delicious! There are many options to choose from like ice cream, spreads and more! Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to this book in exchange for my honest feedback!
So glad I've found a great cookbook for low carb options! As someone who is currently on a weight loss journey I tend to look at carbs and sugars more than anything...but I am a big snacker. This helps create quick and easy snacks that I can make and store and go to rather than eating a chocolate bar or some cookies. Will be coming back to this one often!
Aside from reading all the smut I love cooking and love collection cookbooks.
This is my first cook e-book. It has 75 easy to follow recipes that I cant wait to try! Love that there are pictures with recipe - that's what I look forward the most in cookbooks.
Thanks NetGalley for copy :)
I really liked this cookbook. The instructions are easy to follow and it included full-color photos so I could see e what the outcome of the recipe would be. I look forward to trying these recipes.
I am turning 40 this year and it gets harder to find recipes that satisfy those cravings that doesn't affect your waist line.
This book is perfect for this, I love it.
Keto, low carb, and low sugar eating is still relatively new for me. I found my usual eating habits caused slow yet steady weight gain once I crossed over from my 30’s to my 40’s. Having tried my previously successful weight loss strategies left me actually gaining weight!
Enter keto! A friend had found herself in the same position and shared her tips with me. She was losing weight while eating LOTS of great foods! I tried some of them out and wow - weight started coming off again!
I was super excited to see this keto cookbook as I’m now looking to take keto to the next level. I consider myself very much a novice and feel this cookbook contains recipes that are both easy to follow and yummy! I think this is a great book to pick up for beginners and experts alike!
This is the first cookbook I’ve reviewed and I have to say, it was such a fun change and something I’m looking forward to doing more frequently!
Quick and Easy Low Carb Snacks by Martina Slajerova and Dana Carpenter is just that...the recipes are very simple to follow and create. The photography is luscious! These are not ordinary snacks merely for the sake of snacking; they are mindfully written with specific nutrition requirements and information adjacent to each recipe. Many of us use ingredients and/or ideas from other sources to come up with our own versions. The 75 recipes here have plenty of scope for creativity.
Due to celiac disease and chronic illness I must closely adhere to gluten free and keto lifestyle. As such, I am constantly seeking fresh inspiration for snacks. Many recipes here are variations of old and current favourites but there are also brand spanking new recipes.
Not only do we learn tidbits such as 25% of our food comes from snacks but also the benefits of mindful snacking.
This is one of those cookbooks I could open at random, close my eyes and point to a recipe and enjoy it moments later. I would make about 90% of them and will start with Chocolate-Hazelnut Butter, Herbed Cheese Fat Bombs, Zesty Walnut Brussels Sprouts (what a great side dish, too), Cauliflower Hummus paired with Favourite Crackers, Chile-Lime Peanuts, Raspberry and Vanilla Smoothie and Toasted Coconut Cups.
Beginners and experienced cooks alike will have lightbulb moments perusing this short book and happily add recipes to their repertoire.
My sincere thank you to Quarto Publishing Group - Harvard Common Press and NetGalley for providing me with an early digital copy of this mouthwatering book.
I have been following Keto for about a year now, and one of the first recipe books I purchased was by this author, so I was keen to try out this new book as well.
There are many delicious recipes to try out - some a bit unusual and others old favourites. My top recipe was the bacon and avo fat bombs - simply delicious!
The steps are easy to follow and the ingredients are easy to find, so a good book to help you make healthier snack choices.
Perfect for anyone following a low carb or keto way of eating. Tasty looking snacks and the recipes and instructions look very easy to follow.
Cookbook author Martina Šlajerová never produces anything but the best, and Quick and Easy Low-Carb Snacks: 75 Delicious Keto and Paleo Treats for Fat Burning and Great Nutrition is no exception.
Šlajerová notes that most of us snack, and snacking is healthy: It revives us, and snacking keeps us from overeating at regular mealtime. Here she compiles a number of snacks that fit into a keto diet. (Most “regular” snacks have too many carbohydrates.) Best of all, no one eating these snacks will feel deprived, or as if they’re settling for second-best. You’ll be surprised that they’re “diet food”! Some of these recipes, like Savory Baked Chicken Nuggets, might even be stretched to make a full meal. Highly recommended.
In the interest of full disclosure, I received this book from NetGalley, Quarto Publishing Group – Harvard Common Press, and New Shoe Press in exchange for an honest review.
