Description
Violent storms wreak havoc in Tornado Alley. A serial killer exploits the chaos to cover their tracks…
When a five-year-old girl reports being saved by a mysterious being in the middle of a tornado, her story is readily dismissed.
But less so the computer-assisted discovery of a pattern in a series of deaths that suggests they are no accident.
Special agent Ilona Farris of the FBI puzzles over how a killer could predict the storm events so accurately, yet stops short at believing they are dealing with the thunder beings of Native American legend.
Pairing up with storm chasers, Farris aims to catch the culprit in the act. But her increasingly reckless pursuit will place her directly in the eye of the storm.
THE STORM KILLINGS is the third book in an unputdownable series about a special FBI unit focused on seemingly unsolvable crimes. Look out for the other two: THE PIPER’S CHILDREN and THE WHISTLER’S OMEN.
Iain Henn is also the author of the brilliant thrillers DEAD SET ON MURDER and THE GREATEST BETRAYAL. Perfect for fans of Michael Connelly, Susan Hunter, and Mary Stone.
All of these books are FREE with Kindle Unlimited and available in paperback.

At last! A crime thriller that delivers thrills! The plot is innovative, original...and damned good. The pace is quite literally breathtaking and I could hardly turn the pages fast enough to keep up. On top of all that there are some truly great characters.
This is the first book by Iain Henn I have ever read but now I have discovered him I am going to read his entire backlist and can't wait for him to publish more books in this great series.
Who would have thought that you could find echoes of The X-Files and The Twilight Zone in a story that is still one hundred percent realistic and engaging. I'm stunned and need a stiff drink after a denouement that raises the status of the genre to new heights.
Ever wondered if humans can summon tornados and control them for their own personal needs? This story explores the depths of that question while keeping you on your toes. As someone from Tornado Alley I was highly impressed with the knowledge that was put into the story regarding the location, people and beliefs of the area. The characters are relatable and real. The chase is intense. And there are many suspicious characters to keep you wondering who is the murderer.
If I didn’t have to get sleep for work I would have read this without stopping.
As storm season rolls through, so do some deaths that are marked as from the tornadoes. But when a computer program begins to link the deaths, the team realizes there is more going on than just storm damage and accidental death. Murders are happening during these storms. The team races to find the culprit, while staying out of the path of the oncoming storms.
I really enjoyed this one! I had not read anything by this author before, but it was good. Kept me engaged and wanting to know what was going to happen next. Now, I need to hunt down the first two books and read through those! It was fun to see one of the places that I used to live mentioned in the book.
This was fantastic! It's well-written and unique. It moved at a good pace and I was wondering who the killer was until the end. I would recommend this to those who enjoy mysteries and thrillers. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series! Special Thank You to Iain Henn, The Book Folks and NetGalley for allowing me to read a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.
In "The Storm Killings," Iain Henn masterfully entwines suspense with atmospheric storytelling, crafting a captivating murder mystery set amid a tempest. Vivid characters and unexpected plot twists make this a must-read for mystery aficionados.
In the midst of Tornado Alley, a serial killer is leveraging the fury of nature to commit unspeakable crimes, leaving a trail of devastation and bewilderment in their wake. But when a young girl's haunting account of a mysterious being during a tornado hints at forces beyond human understanding, seasoned FBI agent Ilona Farris is compelled to investigate.
As Farris partners with a team of storm chasers, their pursuit of the killer becomes a high-stakes game of cat and mouse. With each new twist, the mystery deepens, and the body count rises. The Storm Killings masterfully weaves together elements of suspense, intrigue, and supernatural undertones, keeping you on the edge of your seat.

Absolutely fantastic! This book is not only well-crafted but also brings a unique perspective. The narrative maintains an engaging pace, keeping me guessing about the killer's identity until the very end. For enthusiasts of mysteries and thrillers, I wholeheartedly recommend this, and I'm eagerly looking forward to diving into the rest of the series!
If it weren't for the need to sleep for work, I would have devoured this book without a pause. As a weather enthusiast, this story was right up my alley, much like tornadoes – a must-read!
